Villanova Veterinary Hospital
About the Business
Villanova Veterinary Hospital, located at 275 Matsonford Road in Wayne, Pennsylvania, is a family-owned and operated veterinary care facility with a focus on personalized service. Unlike many corporate veterinary hospitals, Villanova Veterinary Hospital has been a single-doctor practice since its inception. Dr. Fischer opened the first animal hospital at this location in 1964, which was later passed on to Dr. Sanders in 1983. In late 2016, Dr. Gallagher purchased the property and after extensive renovations, opened Villanova Veterinary Hospital in late 2017.
Dr. Gallagher, who previously worked at large veterinary clinics, wanted to create a smaller practice where he could offer longer appointment times for thorough exams and discussions with pet owners. The staff at Villanova Veterinary Hospital takes the time to get to know their patients and their families, providing a welcoming and caring environment for all animals.
The hospital's operating hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am to 5pm, with select Saturday appointments available. Thursdays and Sundays are closed. Visit Villanova Veterinary Hospital for compassionate and personalized veterinary care for your beloved pets.

"Everyone that works at Villanova Vet is outstanding. Since we switched vets, my husband and I have felt so supported and acknowledged. Our pup is always thoroughly evaluated, blood tests (or any other tests) are reviewed in detail with us, and all of our questions are always answered in the office or via phone calls. We can't say enough about the high quality and compassion that we receive from everyone at Villanova Vet. Thank you!"
"Incredible team! They instructed me to go to the emergency animal hospital when my previous vet said my pup was fine. These guys saved my dog!"
"We have a new puppy. He is an 11 week old Dachshund. We brought him to Villanova vet when we picked him up, he was 8 weeks old at the time. Dr. Gallagher and his staff have been accepting new patients, but curbside appointments only. This means Albert was brought into the office by one of the Vet Techs and my husband and I waited in the car in the parking lot. As a new puppy parent this was not an ideal situation, as we are also new to this Vet practice. It could not have been a more exceptional experience. Dr. Gallagher came out to our car, facemask in place and gave us Albert's checkup overview. He (Dr. Gallagher) spent quite a bit of time explaining the series of puppy shots that our puppy would be requiring to prevent worms, bordatello, etc. He was very thorough and personable. We have been back for subsequent visits and each time his staff have been so friendly and make a fuss as we hand over our new bundle of joy. We have yet to be inside the office, but hope to, once the coronavirus restrictions are lifted. This is an unusual time and I have to say I felt very comfortable with how the Veterinarian and his staff are treating their patients and their parents. We are very happy with Dr. Gallagher and his staff. Professional and kind. They all make you feel as though your pet is the only one they care for. I would highly recommend. We had to change vets as we just moved to the area and we couldn't be happier with Dr. Gallagher, Andrienne, Dan and everyone else who cares for our Albert."
"Dr. Gallagher and his team are amazing and provide excellent care to our Bruno and Charlie. He has been available even after regular hours and also does house visits. Fully equipped and managed by dedicated staff who shower love on their patients."
