Reviews of Associated Clinical Laboratories ACL North East PSC
"My elderly mom is at assisted living. She had blood drawn in a somewhat emergency situation. The nurse at the assisted living asked me if I could take the sample over to ACL since it needed to be there within 45 minutes and they had other emergencies to tend to. The samples were in tubes, in a sealed bag with all the information. When I arrived at the ACL, no one was at the window. I did not sign in at the Kiosk since I was just dropping something off. The inner sanctum doors opened and I helped a woman wheeling a person in a wheelchair, out the door. The staff person immediately receded to the back. I waited about 10 minutes. Another person had come in and signed in during that time, so I thought a staff person would be out soon. Nope! I was getting concerned about the time for the sample I had so I gently knocked on the door. A staff person came out and I told her I was dropping off a blood sample. She said, "are you a nurse?" I said, "no, but they asked me if I could run this sample over for my mom, because they were detained" She started yelling at me that I had no business bringing the sample, that the nurses over there should bring it and that was the second time that week that those nurses pulled this stunt....I just stood there, dumbfounded. Then she took the sample and said, (loud angry voice)she'd take it this time but in the future, yada, yada....So I was chastised thoroughly for trying to be helpful. As I left quietly, the lady who was waiting looked at me with big eyes. (we were masked, of course) but I could tell this interaction made her uncomfortable also. I hope that staff person calmed down before that lady was seen, but lol, she could still be waiting in the waiting room, where ppl go to die waiting. I will NEVER set foot in that place again. Just terrible, rude, unprofessional!"
"HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Place! No management whatsoever! You are greeted with a closed window, and a sign that says sign in! You can't talk to anyone about anything at all! An elderly lady with samples to drop off stood in the lobby for almost an hour to be told to sign in!! She was in tears, because she didn't know how to use the tablet! Luckily another patient stood up and asked if she needed help, and now a random person has her name, number, and insurance information! All I was there for was to grab a container for a stool sample which would take 20 seconds to hand over to someone! This is why having a person working the front is important! To handle the questions from the people who are not there for appointments, and to assist people like that elderly lady! I left there and went to Harborcreek ACL, and was given the container within 2 mins of being there! Also the lady that came out was a Bi@*$... She told that poor elderly lady I don't care you need to sign in! Then we sign in and tells us to come back 2 to 3 hours later!!! ACL in North East better get someone to work the management end of things before something ends up happening from an upset person. Or someone starts to picket your company..."
"4 times They found a reason that they couldn't take my blood. So I started going to Harborcreek ACL and have had no problems. ACL needs to get a manager in the North East office. live 1 mile away but drive to the Harborcreek office when I need blood drawn., which is 2-3 times a month."
"Can I make it negative? Waited over 20 mins with no one in waiting room but 1 other and they only helped 1 person at 745am, could see 3 people walking around in the back.....second time this has happened, guess they don't realize other people have to go to work too. Guess I have to do the fast a third time or show up when they open at 7, still gonna have to wait 30 minutes I'm sure."
