"There’s a Giant right around the corner. This place is a disaster. No baskets, always long lines, and they make you ask for paper bags because “people steal them”. Newsflash. Using paper bags to bag your groceries isn’t stealing, it’s part of the business. Just go out of business already so we can get a better store."

"This Safeway needs to step up it's game if it wants to compete. It IS clean and has plenty of room to move around, but there is always a shortage of shopping carts even though I see the employee going to get them all the time. Apparently they are short on carts from them being taken. I couldn't find a bottle/jar of honey; I looked in the syrup section, the condiments section and the baking section. Also I couldn't find a package of bologna! There was deli cut bologna, but that's too expensive. All I wanted was a package of Oscar Meyer or whatever. Very frustrating."

"I went to customer service. They had a sign stating that they were not open. How is your customer service not open on a Friday? I stood there for about 10 minutes just to see if anybody would ask if I would need help. Three associates walk right past me …I ended up calling into the store in order for someone to even come out of the office to answer the phone…. That’s how I had to get help… Pitiful if you asked me. I needed help with Something in the floral shop, but it was behind the counter and I was told The one person that could help me is ringing people on the register, and they had a Line. I was told what was out is what I could get, which was crazy because what I needed was behind the desk. She couldn’t even go behind the desk to get what I need, so I would’ve been wrong if I would’ve walked behind there myself, right?! Do better as far as customer service…. Oh, not only was I going to pick up that? I also was going to leave out with the cart full of food. However, they had not one cart available…. What a great way to start off 2024…."

"The store is clean, but I’m standing in line at 9 o’clock, and out of 15 registers only one is open. All the self checkouts are closed for some reason, unfortunately, this is the norm. Hopefully someone from corporate reads this and talks to management about keeping the self check out registers open on a consistent basis."

"Clinton Safeway is the worst! Day after Thanksgiving, stood in line for 25 minutes, line super long, one cashier, other safeway employees are walking around the store just looking and didn't care to open up another register until a customer got loud! Only one employee was able to do refunds while the others just walked the store!!"
