"They do a great job with nails BUT their prices are deceptive and the management team is bias. (terrible) I always say these services are only good until you have an issue. You know what kind of business you’re dealing with based on how receptive they are to feedback. I’ve been going there for about 1 1/2, brought my husband a few times, bought my daughters, told folks about them so we were pleased with the service until, we had a conflict with the pricing. One session would be one price and another session would be different for the same thing. I get the same shape, length and here and there I’ll add designs (which I know will cost) The manager was rude while providing her explanation of the costs simply b/c I inquired and expressed how the prices seem to change. I asked to speak with the owner only to make a suggestion. She came over but I could tell by her demeanor that she had taken the side of the manager. She was defensive and unwilling to hear my feedback. I was simply going to suggest that they should have a price list specifying cost for the different shapes and lengths (not hard to implement) This will help the customer understand their pricing from the start and minimize having techs make up and guess how much a customer owes (because that’s what they do) Many of their customers know this but won’t say anything. Speak up b/c you’re spending your money there. You should be pleased with your experience/service and the business should be pleased when you’re pleased! Celebrity Nails - remember that your customers CHOSE to spend their time and money there, at least listen to them. Maybe you’ll learn a thing or two :)"
"My nails look nice, however there was a lot of confusion. I called to book my appointment with Hollywood nails on State Road because I usually go there and it’s close to where I live, however the person I booked my appointment with failed to let me know that they are now Celebrity Nails located at 4300 township line rd. The phone number is the same for both locations. I call them the day of my appointment to ask where their new location is because I am at Hollywood Nails but it looks closed down. They tell me this other location and how it’s only 5minutes away. That was the first issue. I go to Celebrity Nails and the first nail tech had an attitude and assumed that I wanted dip powder on my natural nails and kept saying “No you need long nails” for the shape that I showed her which was a picture of my nails with false nails and dip powder. I’ve never had a nail tech assume that I want dip powder with my natural nails. Instead of saying “you need long nails” she could have just suggested false nails to add length for the shape. The picture that I showed her were exactly false nails and a shape. The whole time, I’m thinking that she meant my real nails needed to be longer for the shape. This caused confusion and made my experience uncomfortable. Rannie was the other nail tech that finished my nails and she did a good job. To alleviate confusion, maybe ask customers specifically what they are getting done to their nails. False nails, natural nails etc. Also, whoever books the appointments should 100% make customers aware that you’ve merged businesses. Try clarifying more information with customers over the phone ; especially if you guys are unaware if whether the caller is a returning PAYING customer."
"They were very quick. The salon was clean and organized. They were open later than Google says and the place was pretty full for a Monday night. I chose this place since it was the only one near my boyfriend's house open past 6, which is when I get off work. I ended up just getting gel polish, no manicure, because this salons pricing is $10 more than the other salons for a gel manicure. They did a good job and I will update if the polish doesn't last 2 weeks as it should. I probably won't come back since their pricing isn't competitive, but it was a good experience considering I couldn't make it to my regular salon appt this week."
"Tina is the best I followed her from another salon. However, when I appointment and I called to check on my appointment, the owner ( MR. big brows) tells me I didn’t make appointment, and I’ve had stander appointments every since I started going to Tina so that I can deal with I live a very structured life however, I’m not gonna beg someone to take my money"
"Deceptive Pricing Strikes Again. These reviews are on point. Nice salon. Techs do great work but they're pricing policies should be investigated. I too was suddenly charged $10 for long nails that aren't long!! And no, I do not wear tips. I've been going there for months and my nails have actually been longer and I was never charged $10 until my most recent visit. The explanation was so poor - made me feel as if I was being conned/cheated. This is how you lose customers. If you need to increase your prices, then increase them, but don't make stuff up or be so random. So sad as this was the first time I didn't make a return appt. Owners take note because there are a lot of complaints about this posted."
