"This was a wonderful weekend. I can't say enough nice things about the hotel and inn keeper. Lovely historic home right on the river. Breakfast was delicious and it's a reasonable drive to a lot of things in the area."

"A hidden gem of the Eastern Shore Whitehaven is a quaint town of under 100 people and it sits in front of one of the oldest ferries in the US (1690). Whitehaven hotel is wonderfully quiet with lush butterfly attracting flowers and plenty of space on porch to sit and enjoy the calm. Lots of neat history about the bed and breakfast and there are photo albums located in the common room detailing it. Delicious breakfast of eggs, sausage and they even had gf bread for those with food allergies. Be aware that the ferry does make noise starting at 7am to 7pm. Bikes, kayaks, sunscreen, bug spray, shampoo, towels, hair dryer all are included. Take a ride through the street of Whitehaven and check out Salisbury, a city about 22 minutes away. Several restaurants in the area are 10 minutes away. Snacks available through the day( grapes, nuts, cookies, cheese). A sample of visitors included those from the UK and Nova Scotia, California and Utah."

"We stayed in the Federal Room, which overlooked the ferry and water right in front of Whitehaven Hotel. There is an old-world charm to the entire hotel, which, if you're looking for a way to enjoy a getaway from your phones and away from watching TV like you do every week night this is the most pleasant place to do it. Whitehaven offers biking and kayaking, and on Saturdays, a pontoon ride to the winery. Breakfast is served at 9 am. with their own coffee blend, orange juice, and the freshest herbs. It also has a gift shop with unique and coastal inspired gifts. If you're checking in for this year of 2023, you might also get to see the Whitehavens new residents, the Whitehaven ducks. The service was impeccable! Cindy, the innkeeper and her staff, made us feel welcome and gave excellent advice for local dining and points of interest. Our room's bed was made, and the bathroom tidied up while we enjoyed our outings. Location was absolutely perfect for if you wanted to antique in neighboring towns see other points of interest and enjoy local wildlife."

"We have stayed here twice and both times were fantastic. The service is impeccable, breakfast is amazing, followed with the small touches provided by Cindy the Innkeeper: evening snack, wine, and bikes and kayaks available to use. I will request the balcony for breakfast whenever possible. The room was clean, functional, well maintained, and comfortable. You have a key to the house and to each room (different key for each). The location is on the water, close to Salisbury, good food close by, and halfway between blackwater national wildlife refuge and Crisfield."
