"Terrible experience, l new born child has been wating to have an appointment tomorrow 10/11/24 and they just cancelled me just because they don’t take that insurance, l understand that but why call me in the last minute, also they did not have my son name right. I won’t recommend this clinic at all."
"Today we had an appointment ON THE BOOKS for almost a year that was NOT rescheduled OR cancelled yet after leaving my place of employment and picking up my kids early for school, my children were not seen because the office staff had some sort of mis communication AMONGST THEMSELVES and never contacted me to say we did not have an appointment today with a physician or nurse who was actually IN the office today. The system emailed us confirming our appointment, the text messages on today required for us to check IN FOR our appointment only to be told with my three children in the lobby, Dr. Tucker Powell could not see us and neither could the nurse for their scheduled physicals and appointments. I received a call on 12/29 that the Dr. who we were scheduled with was out on medical leave and that we were going to be seen by a nurse. I stated I would rather be seen by Dr.Tucker Powell. The office staff member said she would message Dr. Tucker Powell and ask if she could accommodate us and she would call me on January 2nd. We have not received any communication from this office since. Nobody communicated with me in any form or fashion that we were not going to be seen today. In fact, we got both emails and text messages confirming our appointments and requiring us to check in for our appointment on today!! I called on the 2nd and 3rd and was on hold with the office for hours each time until I had to go on with my day. This is a regular occurrence with. this office. They hired an answering service in the last 6 months and it is STILL impossible to speak with someone in the actual office on the phone. And please don't ever have to see or talk with with your pediatrician if your child is sick or experiencing a life event. You will be told to go to urgent care and this is PRE-COVID. Today, we come in for our appointment to be told by the office staff and Dr. Tucker Powell she could not see us and she was unwilling to fit them in. This was of no fault of mine. I did nothing wrong. Rather, it is the complete incompetence of the office staff and office manager. Complete lack or care and utter disregard for peoples time and the fact that their physicals are now due! Besides having to wait almost two hours to be seen by the Dr. once we arrive for our appointment every single appointment for years, today Dr. Tucker Powell saw me and my family in the lobby and she did not have the common courtesy, decency or any duty of care to my daughters to address us as a family and apologize for her staff's inability to communicate effectively with parents and her unwillingness to do so and disrespect of my and their time is the reason we will never return. We had an appointment scheduled for today that was not cancelled or rescheduled. That is on her staff not me. I stayed at this office LONG past when I knew it was time to leave. This isn't the first instance of this, but today was the most egregious. I wanted my daughters to see themselves in Dr. Tucker Powell and the other physicians in the office, but today showed me what I hope my daughters never become. So ornery and comfortable in your practice, that you have no empathy or care for a family who has supported your business for over ten years. It's one thing to not be willing to see them when the situation is no fault of mine or theirs. But to refuse to even address us and go on with her day as if we were of no consequence to her was completely abhorrent."
"We’ve been with CNPA Greenbelt since 2021 when our first child was born and we are very happy patients. Dr. Danita Tucker-Powell is an excellent pediatrician, and we’ve also been satisfied with the other providers we’ve seen for sick visits. It hasn’t all been rosy as there have been a number of transitions in just the last 2 years but in my opinion, they have been MAJOR improvements: - CNPA now has a call center to handle basic requests like appt scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations. I used to have to wait on the phone for up to an hour just to talk to the front office staff about rescheduling and now I’m only on the phone for a few mins. - If I do need to talk to the Greenbelt office, the call center can transfer me through and they will usually pick up very quickly. - The new patient portal is vastly superior to the old one. We rely on that portal for refills, non-urgent questions, access to all our records, and form completion for daycare. It’s been SO helpful and the response time is very reasonable. I do wish that it was easier to get sick visits and that wait times for those visits were consistently shorter. Sometimes it’s quick and easy, sometimes it’s not. But I also know that staffing is what it is and kids get sick a lot, so when we can’t go to CNPA for sick visits, we usually go to PM Pediatrics just down the block. Overall, we highly recommend this practice because of the great care our children have received and because of the changes they’ve implemented in response to patients’ needs."
"Myself & three sisters were ALL patients here. Now all of our children are patients. I can’t imagine going to a different office. Always professional, always thorough, & I’m never felt anything be comfortable. Not to mention Dr.Hubbard (now retired), helped me conquer my fear of taking shots. I feel like I’m with family every visit. Something to truly appreciate in this day & era."
"i wish i could have a good review but honestly this is unacceptable i missed my daughter first month vaccines because i wasn’t aware she had an appointment i never received a confirmation call or even a call to reschedule if i missed the appointment i waited over a month but that’s because i brought in my other child to be seen for his physical but now i have to reschedule his appointment so my daughter can get her vaccines. Also, front desk staff could do better in communicating with you updating you about an appointment. But overall the doctors are great"
