"Both of my kids have been going here for a long time, now 14 and 16. Excellent care overall with great staff and easy scheduling. Autism friendly means everything to us and CCC is excellent with our son. Five stars!"
"BEWARE. This office can't seem to do anything correctly. I have been taking my daughter here since day 1, July 2019. In the beginning everything seemed okay, being a first time mom I was unsure of a lot. Looking back, mishandling an infant and having her head hit the scale should have been red flag number 1. Over the years there have been numerous issues that have arose, things they have ignored, done incorrectly time and time again, it's been a long road of trying to be understanding and navigating what's correct and what is not. Some of the more major issues involve having to fight for a proper asthma diagnosis, loss of paperwork, incorrectly filled out paperwork (at least 5 separate instances), prescriptions being written for an EPI Pen while claiming they have no record of an allergy, improperly billing an inactive insurance plan at random. Peanut Allergy and EPI Pen: At the age of about 12 months it was discovered my daughter is allergic to peanuts. We went in and explained what had happened and was sent to an allergist. We received a confirmation and the paperwork was provided by myself and the allergist to CCC. The pediatrician began writing prescriptions for an EPI-PEN. Since then each time I have taken in paperwork for daycare or school they without fail write that my daughter has NO allergies. I have had to have them correct one set of paperwork 4 times for this as well as incorrectly filling out multiple other sections. In a recent non-related issue to her allergy I discovered a few things. Dr.Chung informed me there is no record or confirmation of her Peanut Allergy on file. He further explained this is why her paperwork is always filled out as no allergy. So I questioned... You have no record/confirmation of her having a severe anaphylactic allergy but you have been writing and billing my insurance company for an EPI Pen for 3 years and blindly correcting paperwork to what I tell you it needs to say without verifying the information is correct and on file with your office. They then frantically called the local allergists asking if my daughter was a patient and trying to get the records to add BACK to her file. Having had asthma my whole life and after taking my infant-toddler to the emergency room several times for issues breathing I asked about an asthma diagnosis. It was pushed off several times even though they provided me a nebulizer for home with albuterol when she was less than 10 months old. I had to call and ask if they were going to start paying my emergency bills or do their job and screen my child for asthma so she can take daily medications rather than having to pump her with steroids daily just to BREATHE. They finally heard me this time, so I thought. At the office, no sort of peek flow, breathing tests NOTHING was done. They listened to me explain the same things I had been explaining then said okay here's your diagnosis and prescriptions. The lack of care, concern and due diligence is overly concerning. This office then for 8 weeks failed to properly send in paperwork to get the above prescription cleared that my daughter needs to take everyday to help her breathe and keep us out of the emergency room and having to again pump her with steroids. During these 8 weeks I discovered a lot... They were attempting to process the prescription under insurance that had not been valid for literally years - mentioned above. They failed to fill out and send any of the paperwork even after several requests from the pharmacy until I called multiple times. I called my insurance and also verified they had not sent them anything after making them aware AGAIN Cigna has not been an active policy for 4 years. June 2023 CCC billed that same inactive ins. for prescription items they gave me in office. I am now getting past due notices from THEIR vendor for payment. I called to ask them to call and provide the correct ins. inform. and was told by Wanda it was my responsibility. THEY sent outdated insurance information as payment and now this is my responsibility to fix another one of their mistakes."
"We’ve been going to this pediatricians office for 6 years, ever since my son was born. Everyone here is super awesome! The front desk is friendly, they always answer and direct your calls in a timely manner. Same day appointments available for sick visits. Every doctor and nurse practitioner there goes above and beyond. There is literally no one in the office I wouldn’t be comfortable having my child treated by. I like everyone! My son favors Doctor Cindy though! I highly recommend this office!"
"I have been taking my daughter to CCC since she was released from the NICU at Sinai in 2019. I have always been treated like family every time I have arrived for an appointment. Since having another baby, I am back to being a frequent visitor at CCC with all of our well appts. Cindy, the PA, always makes sure to send home a sticker for the big sis. Most recently, I realized I had forgotten all about school health paperwork until the last minute. Katlyn, LPN personally took care of all my issues in order to ensure my daughter would not be held back in school. I cannot thank her enough for her efforts as they were absolutely above and beyond the regular duties of her job."
"Brought my son in recently for flu like symptoms and we were rushed through our appointment. (We were only in the room for about 10 minutes or less). They listened to me explain his symptoms and brushed it off as a virus without running ANY tests even though COVID and the flu are on the rise again. 2 days later (today) my son tested positive for COVID only after I tested him with a home kit after being in his preschool class because the doctor cleared him to return to school which means he’s potentially infected his entire class including the teachers. If they had opted to test him Monday this could have been avoided but now the preschool is forced to close for the remainder of the year! I’m beyond angry and will be removing my son from the facility and moving him to a new office that truly cares for their patients. Carroll Childrens Center will no longer be trusted with my child’s health"
