"The staff was great, as a new patient I certainly felt welcomed and my care was a top priority."
"OK so when I made my appointment initially, I explained I have Medicaid Medicare through United. The reason I called because the website said you accept Medicaid and Medicare when I went into the office today for my appointment I explained I had Medicaid and Medicare she didn’t say anything Not excepting it. So at the end of their application, they require you to fill out they explain another $39 out-of-pocket expense. The insurance won’t cover. I told her that between my Medicaid and Medicare it would be paid. she then decides to tell me that they don’t take Medicaid, but we do take Medicare. Unbelievable you’re gonna let me think that you took medicated Medicare and then after my exam you were going to charge me what Medicaid would pay for. Very slick so I looked up on the Internet again their business and it still says Medicaid Medicare accepted. I brought it into her to show her and she explained I’m not the one responsible I said you know just take accountability for the mistake and fix it. Unbelievable nowadays customer service is poor than poor. You guys speak up stop learning them get away with it."
"Dr Bathija Grewal is the best. She has an amazing and well run staff. The Eye Institute of Reston was first recommended to me through a coworker and I had an emergency need. That was 5 years ago, and since then I have moved to DC, but I continue to get my optical needs from them. They take great care of me."
"The doctor's routine exam was fine. The front desk/insurance coordinator for glasses was very short, had an attitude, and clearly wanted to end her shift for the day as she expressed she had a long day (unprovoked so it was unprofessional). I asked her a question about my eye condition to understand why I was billed a specific way and instead of telling me she would find someone more knowledgeable to answer the question, she just brushed it off and repeated that billing was just like that and asked for my card to pay. Would not recommend and highly recommend they work on training for front desk/insurance questions as this is needed in any healthcare establishment."
"I had an extremely frustrating experience when I called this establishment a couple of days before my scheduled appointment on Tuesday, September 12, around 3:05 PM. The person I spoke to, who didn't provide their name, was unhelpful and dismissive. I simply wanted to confirm if they accepted my insurance. After being put on hold for five minutes, I was told they didn't have my insurance information and was advised to call my insurance provider myself. I was puzzled because I had my insurance card in hand. When I tried to provide my insurance details, the person insisted I call my insurance company to confirm, even though I was trying to confirm with them directly. They abruptly hung up on me. This experience left me deeply unsatisfied, and I have decided to cancel my appointment. I have no intention of returning to this place."
