"I’m currently enrolled in the Computer & Data Management program. If you’re not ready to buckle down and teach yourself a lot of material, avoid this program. It requires a lot of reading, a lot of lab work, and requires time dedicated. Being completely asynchronous can be a challenge. Do not sign up if you’re not going to invest the time. I have learned a ton of information in a short period of time. I still have 1 year left before graduation. All lessons are pre recorded. An instructor is available if you need assistance. Instructors in my program are very smart and I enjoy learning from them. Again you need to dedicate yourself and your time if you expect results in this program."
"My experience in the school is great but the financial department is very unorganized. I’ve been calling regarding a stipend check for the past three months and the answers that I’ve been given are just unbelievable as college students you know we’re trying to go to school we face financial hardships we try to maintain a job and it’s all hard work so you think that financial wise things would be On time, but they’re not, and due to that effect it causes more anxiety and frustration as you’re trying to maintain great grades and complete your course and have your bills paid All at the same time, apparently the printer That print the checks has been broken for three months, and like I said, struggling financially in college You would think that the machine would’ve been repaired way before three months. I hope that department just put a little bit more effort into helping people."
"I did the medical assisting program. I feel like they really go in depth and for the most part the instructors we had were really good and really cared. But when everything switched to online I didn’t feel like the tuition amount we were paying was equal to the education we were really getting. Also, we aren’t getting a graduation ceremony and I don’t understand. Not even a virtual one. I’m happy to get our tassel and pin but they surely didn’t refund any money that was already included in our tuition that was for an actual graduation and our cap and gown… as much as I loved the instructors in the program I would probably go to HACC because it’s cheaper and not as long. If yti was more inperson it would be more worth it."
"Through the year of 2020-2021, I was a proud student of YTI’s Dental Assisting Program. 2020 was a difficult year for everyone, but my instructors Lisa Brown and Katie Ort made my time at YTI one to remember. They were always so helpful and caring to me and all of my fellow classmates. In difficult times, teachers like these need to be recognized for all of their hard work and dedication to the program. I would recommended any person to attend the DA Program. I have to say that the career path and school has changed my life for the better and showed me how schooling really should be... student oriented!"
"By far the worst college I've seen, I owe 14,000$ for 6 months (2 terms) 8,000 of that coming from materials I would have used later in the 21 month program I was in, save your money. This place is a waste of your time and effort, if you're considering the Computer Systems Specialist program, id highly recommend going somewhere else, half the professors will waste your time and talk about things irrelevant to the course while barely attending. Also read their attendance policy very closely, this school loves to give you lots of hoops to jump through while acting friendly and like they have your best interest in mind."
