Reviews of Meritus After Hours Pediatrics
"Love the nurses. Love the staff. The only doctor that has time and time again proved to be awful is Dr.CHOWHURY. He made us feel so inadequate as parents, (after he walked into the wrong room.) He told my husband that our was “too old” and did not have RSV. When I opened my son’s MyChart account I looked at his test results that stated he does in fact HAVE RSV. I wish I knew when he was working because next time we’ll just go to Urgent Care or the ER. Bedside manor is important if you’re going to be a provider to pediatric patients. So is common courtesy for that matter. Dr.CHOWHURY go retire."
"You don't even deserve 1 star, but it's making me select 1 so i can post this. This place is complete trash! I took my youngest daughter for a swollen lymph node under her ear the size of a walnut, they looked at her ear said they were infected and that's why the lymph node was swollen and gave her an antibiotic that doesn't even treat ear infections. The next morning, even after 2 doses of this useless antibiotic, half of my daughters face was huge. We took her to the ER immediately, and they didn't understand why they gave her an antibiotic that treats UTIs and not one for ear infections! Then yesterday I took my other daughter for pink eye got there at 550, before they opened, my daughter was the second person checked in, then sat us in a room from 6pm until 720 when I decided to take my daughter and walked out. We could hear everything in the rooms beside ours getting seen and get discharged. These are people who came either after us or at the same time with us. Mind you, i understand emergent cases HAVE to come first, but you also have to account for check-in times. To make matters even tackier,an NP opened our door and said oops wrong room, and we proceeded to sit some more. If it hadn't been for it being late in the evening and her pediatrician being closed, I would've never wasted our time! This place is garbage!"
"I went to go get my 21 month old daughter checked out due to not eating. I had my 3 week old along with us. As soon as the doctor found out I was tandem feeding. I was judged & shamed. He blamed that my daughter wasn’t eating because of that. He was a very UNEDUCATED doctor & I feel like he could have cared less about my daughter. I wish I could have figured out my daughters issues when coming here. But I got the complete opposite."
"I took my daughter on a Saturday afternoon for an ear infection. Brenda at the front desk was incredibly helpful and kind. Amy, the nurse, was excellent with my two year old and made her very comfortable as she checked her vitals. Vanessa Geyer was the nurse practitioner and was attentive, quick, and answered all of my questions. The entire visit—from check in to check out—took less than 20 minutes. We will always bring our kids to this urgent care. They are the best option in our area, by far!"
"This place is fantastic. Wonderful, caring staff. They work with your insurance and had us in and out quickly. Our concerns were heard and symptoms carefully reviewed to rule out anything requiring emergency care. Everything was explained very clearly. I didn't even know this place existed and found it on the way to the ER. Sure glad I did. Less than 2 hours later we are home and resting with meds for my daughter. Highly recommend"
