Reviews of Nada
"I went to this place for a typical lunch and ordered chicken al pastor and chicken al carbon tacos with a side of guacamole, black beans, and rice. It was delicious! I also tried a spicy margarita, which turned out to be one of the best I've had. The food had a unique twist, elevating it to a higher level of Mexican cuisine. Despite a somewhat lengthy wait, the bartender came to the rescue with a fantastic margarita. The ambiance was nice, although a bit loud. Overall, I was satisfied with my order."
"Nada has been open for some time now, and although I have wondered up and down the street at Pike & Rose where they are located numerous times, I have not entered... Until today. Nada is a casual Latino-inspired eatery and bar. The decor is at the same time simple and vibrant, with ochres and yellows, indirect lighting and cozy atmosphere that invites to imbibe and have a good time. I went during happy hour and had a mango margarita, which was delicious (but not the margarita in the happy hour menú, which was fine). I ordered from the Happy Hour Menu the beef and potato empanada (there is one per order), which arrived piping hot and served with a chipotle aïoli. The emanada was Colombian-style, made with corn flour and fried, not like a wheat flour and baked Argentinian empanada. The beef and potato stuffing was delicious, mostly beef! The aïoli was OK, but it may be a tad to rich for a fried turnover (I would have preferred a pico de gallo style fresh salsa). The service was courteous and efficient, but also very friendly... Gracias, Rodrigo! I would like to visit Nada again to try some of the main dishes and bar cocktails. "Nada" (nothing in Spanish) was definitely something!"
"My boyfriend and I went for happy hour and had a great time! The deals were very reasonable and we enjoyed sitting outside where heaters were available if needed. The service was very good too - attentive and informative. All of the items we got were delicious, especially the brussels sprouts and crispy cauliflower. We would definitely go again!"
"My husband and I decided to give this spot a try since we go to pike and rose all the time and I can safely say I will not be back unless they make serious changes. At first glance, the atmosphere is super cute and the hostesses were really quick to seat us and pleasant. Our server was also really nice and personable. My husband ordered a margarita and I ordered us Brussels sprouts which came out in a decent time and were tasty. The margarita took longer to come out but was also not bad. Then we had to tell the server we were ready to place our order for the main dishes. I got the kale Cesar with chicken, my husband got carne asada tacos and we placed an order for the cornbread skillet. The server told us it will take 10 minutes for the cornbread and we were fine with that. About 15 minutes later our main dishes arrive. Both our dishes were ok, the carne asada was not seasoned well and the salad with chicken was fine. 15 more minutes go by (30minutes since I placed the order for cornbread) and the server tells us that the cornbread burnt so they are making a second one which will be on the house and that will be ready in 3 minutes. Eventually the cornbread comes and it’s burnt! Somehow it’s burnt on the outside and the inside is not cooked. It was like a slap in the face. Then we had to wait and hunt down our server to get the check and leave. Just not a good experience. There’s so many ways to make people happy when you mess up their dining experience. Super disappointing."
"The only restaurant that was accepting guests at 8:30pm at Pike & Rose. We sat outside with a few tables seated. Food delivery was fast. We ordered an appetizer but it came out with the food. Which was fine. Highly recommend the shrimp verde tacos (3 per order). Note: shrimp is battered not grilled. I added the side of street corn to my tacos for some flavor. Lucas (server) was attentive to us especially for being his last table. Parking: 2 hours free At this time of night bring a light jacket as it got chilly"
