"This company is the American Dream. The couple runs a nationally-respected source for veneers and supplies. High quality images of each sheet, even marking the occasional defect so you know whether it will work for your project. Prompt replies to technical questions and deliveries as fast as can be. One hopes their ’succession planning’ is as good, because their retirement will someday hit everyone hard."
"Great company. It was my first time veneering a DIY speaker and I was very nervous about it. I read all the post on their website and contacted Joe who answered all the remaining questions. The veneer on the speaker turned out great beyond all my expectations. I will continue to buy their products in the future."
"Ordered the basic Project V4 Venturi pump and poly bag with mesh. Love it. Came in a timely manner, online instructions were clear and easy to follow. Was ready for veneering in a couple of hours. Highly recommend."
"Gorgeous Veneers, lots of good info on the site. This was my first veneering project and because of the great descriptions and photos of the actual veneer I was able to purchase what I wanted at a great price. Also bought the Heat Lock glue and roller which were absolutely worth it for someone new to veneer. My project turned out excellent and once I applied the final finishes I was amazed at how gorgeous it was - This is really a premium product!"
"This is probably one of the best businesses I've dealt with. Even thought I don't do veneering, I needed a reliable way to clamp down inlays on cutting boards and jewellery boxes. I did my homework on what I need, and started looking at stores that carry veneer supplies (and consequently bags, pumps, etc). I'm from Canada and paying the USD to CAD exchange, and shipping across the border really hurts, so I spent a full couple of days looking. I called around locally, then across Canada, and looked at everything I could online. For the quality you get, veneersupplies was by far the best bang for the buck. They're not cheap mind you, but if you look around at other veneer shops they're very reasonably priced, and somehow offer the best quality bags and pumps I could find. Joe is incredibly knowledgeable and responsive, the prices are very competitive, and every product he carries has so much thought and engineering put into it it's incredible. Even something as simple as how the fittings are mounted to the bags is thought out, and you can tell has been revised over the years to make sure it doesn't mar your project, but also never fail since it is a weak point. Not only that, but he's honest about what you might or might not need, and might recommend cheaper equipment that's still perfectly suited for your needs, which business nowadays very rarely do. And the last bit, which seems unimportant now, but when you're stuck is vital - the documentation. It's excellent, some of the best I've had the pleasure of reading. Concise, easily digestable, but also extensive in what it covers. Things like how to use a vacuum bag, how to use a vacuum pump properly, what types of glues to use, how much vacuum you need for certain species, what ELSE you can use your pump for, which pump you should get, what compressor requirements their venturi pump has, what limitation their piston pump has, how to troubleshoot a pump, how to make your own bag, how to make a platen, how to order spare parts, etc, etc, etc. Every single thing you can think of is probably already documented, and it might even have color photos as a visual aid. And if it so happens that it's not documented, or you're just feeling unsure about your order and have questions, Joe responds fast and with more detail than you expect."
