BLUME NAILS

"If I could give no stars I would. Stopped here on a whim thinking oh nice classy area, people with money I’m sure come here…..we was wrong!! They were so disorganized the front desk girl had an attitude , her hair was so greedy, unpresentable and the nail tech should have been retired!! She asked how do we want my daughter’s nails she says the same way they are but a different color at the tip. The lady says ok I do, $45 for fill, $20 extra for gel and $5 extra for the nail that needed replaced. I said ok. Mind u my daughter already had the shape in coffin and was French tip. So don’t u get outta that, she wants coffin and French tip again? …..I do. Well as she was doing them she asked my daughter u want square or coffin we said the same as what they are. She didn’t ever want to talk to me, said I no listen to mom I listen to you what you want. She goes oh no square, we again say no the way they are just a little shorter. She then says that will be an extra $15 for shape and extra $10 to cut down!! I said what, we would ever pay no $95 for a fill and French, the lady then started arguing with me cause I wasn’t paying that when we only ever pay like $60-$65 usually. So as she is shaping my daughters nails she tried saying my daughters finger was crooked and couldn’t make her nail straight, I said her finger is not crooked it’s straight u took to much off the one side of the nail, she continued to argue with me. By now I’m super pissed!! I said can u plz just finish her nails so we can go since we have been here over 2 hrs!! Cause she stopped while doing her nails to go wax someone!! So unprofessional! Slaps some lotion on and I mean doesn’t even rub it in, I had to cause their was globs of it on her hands and lower arm. The nails had ruff edges that my daughter had to file down at home. The manager did come over tried to fix things he gave me $5 off which I still wasn’t happy I was now paying $90 for a fill and French when I never pay this amount ever!! And their prices at the desk don’t say any of this!! I hope you don’t go their and get screwed too!! Never will we ever go their again! Good luck to ur business, I don’t see it lasting. In the pics u can clearly see my daughters finer is straight and the nail is crooked. I couldn’t get the clear top coat and gel of her just slapping that on and it all over my daughters fingers around nail area. Terrible terrible place!"

"I ONLY gave them an extra star to make it 2 because they had so many color choices BUT looks can be deceiving! They did horrendous, rushed, terrible, sloppy job! Between the uneven acrylic, none of the nails matching in shape or sloppy paint job, I couldn’t tell what was worse! Not to mention, the side profile OMG they’re raise up so much they look like claws & not in a good way! The rushed through the entire time & it shows, he also cut me several times! I didn’t bother to ask for them to fix it because from the job he did the 1st, I’m guessing the 2nd time wouldn’t be much better!"

"I went in for a regular polish manicure. Like most nail salons, they push gel manicures heavily. Although they have hundreds of colors the selection of regular polish colors is not great. They didn’t seem to have the top selling/most popular OPI colors but conveniently, their equivalents are available in gel. Eventually I agreed to a gel manicure so I could get a color closest to what I wanted. I sat in the back of the salon and I’m not sure if someone was smoking inside or they were leaving the back door open while smoking but the smell was very strong. This happened multiple times throughout my appointment. Many won’t mind it, but for me I found it very unpleasant. I normally wouldn’t bother commenting on cigarette smoke but due to the poor gel manicure I think the whole experience should be mentioned. I had these done on 12/21and the photos were taken on 12/28. I work a desk job so the fact that these were peeling 7 days after is incredible to me. By 12/30 all of the nails were peeling and I was able to just peel it off by hand in one go. The entire blobs of polish came off in one piece. This means that they didn’t prep the nails correctly and didn’t cure them long enough. So essentially I was forced to get gel manicure and then it didn’t last a week. I started to get suspicious at checkout because when you pay, you have to agree to a waiver that says you won’t file a chargeback and agree that you’re satisfied with your nails. When you check their website, it says they don’t offer refunds and can only have your nails fixed within 3 days. My guess is that all of these policies are in place because they routinely provide subpar work. I have never heard of a gel manicure only lasting 7 days and feel like that completely defeats the purpose of a gel manicure. The salon itself was very clean and my nail tech was friendly. However I won’t return and wish I could receive a refund due to their badly provided service. I wonder at the legitimacy of their positive reviews as Yelp seems to have the negative reviews speaking to many of the same issues I’ve experienced."

"Went here on a whim without looking at the reviews was my first mistake. Seen the price for a full set was $55 and was okay with that. When I got up to the register they charged me $90. When I asked why the guy pretended to not hear me I guess. I later learned that the shape was an extra 15 dollars, and gel polish was an extra 20 dollars. I was here for almost 2 hours. My thumb nail was crooked but I gave up on trying to ask them to fix it as I just wanted to get out of there. When I got home, the gel polish did not cure all the way so now my nails are bumpy and leaking polish out of the sides. (Less than 24 hours since I got them done) I will never go back to this establishment and cannot wait to get my nails fixed by somewhere else. (See pictures below)"
