Reviews of PAINT Nail Bar
"I got a pedicure and I have never felt so replenished, at peace, and relaxed. PAINT Nail Bar had so much to offer for my nail experience including mimosas, retail therapy, and such an inviting and cute environment for pictures. My nail tech Fawn did an amazing job and I loved the color that I chose. All the staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful to ensuring I had the best experience possible. Thank you!"
"Normally I’m not one to leave one star comments but I honestly feel this one is needed. Today 11/11 I went and got a well needed pedi at PNB after a night shift at work plus it was my birthday and I felt like treating myself. I live in the Bloomfield area and drive past the salon many times and figured I would try them out today. First impression when I walked in, that salon was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. Host asked if I wanted something to drink and I kindly declined since I had my coffee with me. The part that got the one star was the pedicure it self. First some of the nails still had my old nail polish on that the nail tech missed while removing it. Second some of the nails weren’t filed down evenly especially my big toe and the nail was slightly jagged, I didn’t realize that until I put my socks back on. Third the paint job was definitely not worth 45 dollars. As seen there’s parts missed where the polish didn’t take. There’s parts where the polish is thin and you can see my actual nail. Then theres parts where the polish is layered more then other parts from “running”. She also re did my big toes twice because the first time she took off too much during the cleaning process, but as seen the second time in the picture was rushed. The clean up job was okay she did take her time on that part but I feel with taking your time the out come of the product should be better. I also realized when I got home that the corner on my big toe the polish is already lifting and peeling. I personally do not feel this was worth 45 dollars plus a 20%tip that I saw was charged to my card. I would have still tipped but not 20%."
"Obsessed. First time going here and the staff were so friendly and sweet. There’s also a bunch of things to look at and shop around for inside - jewelry, sweaters, hair accessories, etc. I was slightly disappointed to learn as I was paying that there would be an extra fee for removing my old nails - I put that in my booking request and was not informed ahead of time. However, the rest of my experience definitely made up for it!"
"I don't go often to get my nails done but I've always enjoyed coming here because they did such a great job.I drive an hour to come here because of that. Today was not a good experience at all. I had a scheduled appointment with my friend to get a pedicure. The girl who was doing my friend's nails was probably working on hers for about 10 minutes before the girl who was supposed to be doing mine came out she apologized and said she had a nose bleed which I told her it was fine. I don't know if she was trying to make up time for being late or what was going on but I felt like she rushed through the entire process with me. She even finished 15 minutes before my friend had her nails completed. I wasn't satisfied with one of the nails because half of the side isn't painted and now that I'm home looking atcloser they don't look that great, definitely not $45 worth. She didn't ask me at the end if I was satisfied with the way they looked. All she said was that they would dry in 5 mins and she just disappeared and I never saw her again after that. I don't know if she was sick or what was going on but someone else should have done my nails if that was the case. I did appreciate the girl who was working at the front desk area who brought me the mimosas and the girl who did my friend's nails because she offered to check if they were dry for me."
"I’m not one who usually goes ahead and gives bad reviews, but this was one of the worst mail salon experiences that I ever had. I went in for a gel manicure and I have short round nails, so nothing too complicated. The nail tech started by filing my old gel off and then barely let my nails soak in the acetone before deciding to get a nail file with a harsher grind and filing down my nails to a pulp. This included repeatedly filing down the surrounding nail bed skin to the point of me bleeding. Her reaction to that was to tell me to wash my hands and continue with the same strategy. She was very confused when I asked her to cut them down and round the nails, and simply just filed around what she cut. She then went ahead and opened the base coat without doing any nail care, and when I gave her a confused look, asked if she should do any cuticle care. This simply translated to her taking the cuticle clippers and touching each finger once for a total of 30 seconds total. The nail polish part itself looks like a 5 year old did it with polish all over the skin and uneven coats. She was clearly out of top coat and even when the nail tech next to us suggested an alternative, she just continued with trying to get whatever is left out of the bottle she had so you can now easily see the brush strokes on top of my nails. Honestly, I’m grateful I got a blush color because anything darker would have looked so terrible to live with until I went to a another salon to fix this mess. By the end of the whole experience, I never wanted so desperately to leave a nail salon. Definitely won’t be coming back."
