"at least it's not Thomas Stone. communication between any party involved in this school is in a dire state. administration and some teachers simply don't mix which leaves students caught in the middle. students run this school, not the teachers, and you can forget about adminstration. teachers are either powerless to get anything done or they simply don't care. there are some good teachers here, but it's just a bad school. also, there's an ant and mice infestation so have fun."

"The AFJROTC program needs better leadership.. the current teacher / colonel is sinking in completely unchartered waters. If AFJROTC is offered as a credited elective class, it needs to be headed by an experienced instructor. Our kids deserve the best. It shouldn't be an "Easy A", which is how many of the cadets view it, which makes it difficult for the cadets that truly want to be there for the right reasons. No class should be an "Easy A", but especially one that claims to reflect military values. It's an insult to military personnel. Other than that, the school meets or exceeds expectations. *The sports programs are GREAT! My son couldn't have better coaches. *The Engineering program is on point! *I could use better, upfront communication from the highest level of administration, but encountered a Vice Principal that was AMAZING! Overall, my husband and I are pleased with the school."

"Went here 10 years or so ago. Overall it was an okay place. There was a great engineering program though. It really set me on the path to becoming a mechanical engineer."

"My son has been at Lavkey since his 9th grade year. The first year for freshman they send home biweekly progress reports. The teachers are responsive and they care about the children. My son is going to the 11th grade this year and I wouldn't have chosen another school!!! Charger Pride all the way!!!"
