"I have had nothing but issues with getting appointments. I'm so done with this group. Actively looking for a new provider that accepts my insurance."
"First visit went well. Second visit was just okay. Third visit I went in because I had recently been bit by a Lonestar tick and got very sick. I went to a medexpress and they gave me antibiotics and told me to go get blood work done from my doctor's office in a month to find out what I actually had. I felt better, but still wanted to know what exactly the tick gave me. She acted totally dumbfounded by me wanting to get blood work, but agreed to it. Except she tested me for Lyme's disease which lone stars don't even carry. The main reason I've been going is for my blood pressure. It's been irregular but not consistently high and it's always super high at the office, but lower at home. She put me on blood pressure medication even though it's not consistently over 140/80. It's only that high or higher when I'm there. I haven't taken the bp meds and my blood pressure is now generally around 119/78. She prescribed that far too quickly for me being in my 20's. Im technically obese and have been working on it. I informed her I just got myself to the point where I could exercise for 30+ mins a day. She should have waited longer to prescribe me something like that. Lastly, I've been trying to get ahold of them by phone for over 2 weeks now to cancel my appointments and I can't get through. I finally had someone contact me this morning after 2 weeks of trying. I've had similar situations where I can't get through from 2 months+ ago. Not happy with this place at all. Update: after I finally cancelled my appointments, they went ahead and rescheduled me without asking for the same day I cancelled for."
"Wow a nonprofit medical center. This is a hard place to get on the phone at times but it does seem that they are working on it.. Being a non-profit I guess they don't get the best of everything. I have seen Dr. Vareen 4 Times, the first time she was a bit hard to read, but not unpleasant.. Now things are great she takes her time with me and listens and addresses my issues. Good Doctor. Update: was three now five stars, this doctor continues to impress me. I could tell that she had done some research regarding my issues, giving me solutions. I really need to mention the office staff, helpful, kind and courteous. That’s what I have been looking for!"
"Only seen twice by Dr Veeren and BOTH times I was disappointed with the way she treated me. I came to her office seeking help, only to be belittled and argued with. From the first appointment her staff entered someone’s else’s vitals/urine into my chart, after arguing with me that the info was right we called a staff member in the room to confirm she had not taken my temperature but in fact entered someone else’s temperature into the computer under my name. I missed my second appointment due to family emergencies, called to reschedule and never received a call back. I came into the office hoping to get help because my prescription ran out that day... front desk let me be seen. I go into the back room and I am greeted by De Vereen with a “Why are you here?” I told her it was emergency and I needed my meds filled. That’s when the arguing started again... she believed she gave me TWO more then she actually did only to go into her computer to find out I was right about the amount. She argued with me about how many appointments I missed... saying I had missed 4 appointment when I just started seeing her last month.. not true but she argued the fact anyways. Had to ask another staff member who then confirmed I had only missed 2... one with her and one with the Brandywine office. I was emotional about arguing with the dr constantly who wouldn’t be.. she decided to pass judgement on me saying I must be emotional all the time (not true). I will NEVER return to this office nor will I ever recommend another friend there. I feel so bad for the future patients of hers, if your looking for help just know there ARE other options. It’s worth the 45min drive just to be treated nicely, with respect like an adult and not a child."
