"Thank you Bob Novak and Red Bridge Studios for opening your musical home to me. I have played the keyboard since I was about 7 years old (over 30 years). My dad bought me a little hand size keyboard and would teach me songs by ear before I went to bed. It was like storytelling, and I fell in love with the keyboard, piano, classical music, and then later Elton John's music. I started taking piano lessons in elementary and continued through high school. I always had a dream of owning a Yamaha piano but only had the pleasure of playing on my piano teacher's upright Yamaha piano. Today was a dream come true, for the first time I performed and recorded on a Bosendorfer piano at Red Bridge Studios that had the most beautiful sound, touch and response. I started attending Women with Purpose at Grace Houston Church in the fall of 2019 and was invited to play the keyboard by mentor and teacher Ms. Yolanda Cruz. As I started to study the hymns, I fell in love with Christian music, and now share my piano music in Women with Purpose (WWP) worship. (The picture attached is from Women with Purpose’s 11th anniversary! I am positioned on the left and WWP Teacher Ms. Yolanda is positioned on the right.) The music recorded at Red Bridge Studios is dedicated to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my sisters at Women with Purpose and Grace Houston Church; my Texas church family. It is also in celebration of Women with Purpose's 13th Anniversary this year. Bob was a pleasure to work with, he made me feel comfortable even though I was a little nervous and this was my first recording. He was very prompt in his responses and completed the recording very quickly. I love the recording and am so thankful for this recording experience at Red Bridge Studios. "My fiancé and I went to Red Bridge Studios to record a duet together for our wedding. It was the first time either of us have ever recorded in a studio, so we felt a bit self-conscious at first. He was an absolute master at editing and putting the track together. "Terrific studio, thoughtful and generous staff — all the ingredients for a great recording experience. These days, it's possible to record and mix some instruments decently using home recording gear — I do a lot of that for the recordings I make for my own albums, and for some soundtrack work. But for trickier tasks and musical combinations, there's still no substitute for a well-equipped studio with talented engineers. I recently booked a sessions at Red Bridge studios to record a rising star sax player with violin, and the skill and care of Bob and his staff made things run super smoothly. At home, I could have futzed around for 45 minutes trying to get my mic placement right; Bob deftly knew exactly where to position three vintage mics to yield a gorgeous recording, and we were rolling in minutes. We got through six tunes in two hours(!) And, because of the quality of the sound, the sax and violin tracks needed very little post-production tweaking, and much less work for me than if I'd tried the session in my home studio. Very highly recommended."
