Reviews of AllCare Primary & Immediate Care
"I visited Dr. O’Connor and all I can do is give compliments for her sweet nature and willingness to help her patients recover. She truly wants the best for her patients, and provides thorough insight into her patient’s problems. She even gave me a follow up call to ensure I received the best care. Many doctors see patients as numbers, but through a short interaction it is evident she cares for her patients as though they are family. Highly recommended!"
"I came to AllCare for an annual primary care visit. Dr. Iman G and Nurse/Tech Rahseeda were fantastic - kind, personable, and thorough. I love that during my visit, she was concerned about my physical health and even asked about my mental health and physical health concerning IPV (intimate partner violence). As a public health practitioner, I value this level of care and detail. Healthcare services sometimes need to go beyond the physical perspective. While Dr. Iman was amazing, one concerning note is the facility itself. The walls of the Navy Yard location are so thin I heard the last 30 minutes of someone else's appointment word for word. It was almost as if I was an interning doctor in the same room writing notes. The walls are so thin that I heard the person's diagnosis (IBS), treatment plan (change of diet and more frequent monitoring), and the exact pharmacy in DC where they are picking up their prescription. It would be easy if I wanted to stalk the person whose appointment I heard. (To clarify, I absolutely would not stalk anyone, ever. Period. That is creepy and a crime.) Because of this, I asked Dr. Iman to whisper or speak lowly during my appointment, fearing another patient would hear my appointment details. While I was only there for a regular check-up, with no "embarrassing" diagnosis, I feel like being able to hear someone else's medical history through the walls is a health privacy/HIPAA violation no matter what the diagnosis is - embarrassing or not. Additionally, I need to schedule a gynecological appointment, and the availability and turnover rates for doctors in DC are wild. I search for a new doctor every two years or wait months to book an appointment. I would go to AllCare for their Women's Wellness services, but as I mentioned, the walls are so thin I KNOW the other patients would hear my exam. I can't handle Garfield's news being listened to around Navy Yard. But again, I love Dr. Iman and nurse/tech Rasheeda. They were worth the visit."
"The receptionist was an absolute nightmare. I had a pinched nerve so bad I could barely move and last year I got steroid/lidocaine injections from another AllCare location in DC for the same reason. First she told me they were primary care only and don't do steroid/lidocaine injections, which is obviously not true. Then she said I would have to wait at least an hour because other people had appointments, but nobody else was there and being seen without an appointment is the whole point of urgent care. I said okay and just asked her to please make sure they can do the injections first so I don't sit there for an hour just to be turned away, and she raised her voice and spoke over me about how I'll have to wait and that walk-ins are not a priority. Being treated like that when you're in excruciating pain is just cruel, so I left and called an uber to another AllCare location, which saw me immediately."
"Dr. Fobia and her team were so lovely and attentive. Truly the best and most efficient urgent care experience I have ever had. Navy Yard is lucky to have them as a new edition to the neighborhood."
"When I arrived for my urgent care appointment there was nobody at the reception desk, or in the entire clinic as far as I could tell. I called the clinic while I was in the reception area and nobody answered the call, so I left a voicemail. It’s 9 hours later and I still haven’t gotten any communication from the clinic. I hope everything is okay and that this wasn’t due to a staff emergency or something, but it was a frustrating experience."
