"Excuse my anonymous gmail persona but let me tell you that I hate this school. I understand we live in a democratic state/area but don’t put politics in our classrooms. This school takes everything little way too far and brainwashes their students to think their way. The work is an immense amount of work in some classes and put way too much pressure on the students, which cause suicides and depression or other mental illnesses. The food is absolutely disgusting. I would like to advocate for more nutritionally enhanced food that isn’t greasy and are fullfilling with not a lot of carbs. The kids here are expected to be the best and a teacher said that the school ranks each student based on their GPA scores. The history teachers expect you to read from a textbook each day which is super long and tiring. It consumes the amount of time kids here have to go outside and actually play.. The teachers lose work and tests that students have completed fully and expect makeup work and never listen to the students at all. The millenial teachers brainwash the next generation students to their liberal and sjw politics and constantly pressure it in class, which I cringe about. I am a young lgbt republican and I want to join the lgbt club and other clubs to make friends but there is so much brainwashing of politics in there that there’s barely enough to express my own opinion without getting bullied or getting in trouble. I wasn’t aware of the young republicans club either, which I plan on joining the next year definitely. So that’s a plus for the school for actually adding that club, thanks."
"This is an awful institution. Words do not do justice, to explain how bad this school. For starters they have a communist principal (Matt Wilburn), who has hired many SJW & Feminist & Liberal agents such as Ms.Trent, Mrs.Thompson, Mr.Willis, Ms.Huffer, and more. On top this school has allowed irrelevant programs such as Crew and Track to believe they are superior than other students (even though everyone makes Track and Field). On top Matthew Wilburn has done his best to suppress the voice of Special Education and IEP students as he does his best to boot them out of his communist education center. Finally and most importantly has to be the security at the school. Deputy John Paul Jones and School Resource Officer Amy Ressler have created too much tension. The two over react to every little. They do not hand out punishments based on the incident, rather who committed it (last year a kid was not disciplined for instigating multiple fights, yet a kid was suspended for self defense. Does not add up whatsoever). On top of that they have allowed multiple threats to go un-noticed, and Deputy Jones has done his best to make the lives of students miserable."
"In all honesty, this school creates and puts so much pressure on the students and is the reason a portion of the student body has a mild depression. In one year two suicides occured, one taking place during school. Overall the staff is ok, half care and half don't. The students are either all jerks, or super nice, and bullying happens everyday."
"Fabulous high school for our kids. Excellent teachers, school sports are competitive or better to peer schools, academically nationally recognized."
"Heap. Of. Trash. This could be one of the worst run schools in the county. Staff overreacts to everything, If you try to challenge something you don't agree with by politely commenting on it you can get written up. Also very many hazards, in the gymnasium there is a fire alarm cover about 4 feet off the ground. The cover of the fire alarm is completely shattered, shards of glass pointing outwards in a gym... what could go wrong? Teacher are very unenthusiastic about their job they seem like they don't want to be there. It is clear a lot of the teachers are not interested in helping their students achieve anything academically. This puts students in a terrible stop for their future leaving them with little to no aspiration to get a job. All these reviews that are positive only care about the social climate. If you are a parent deciding where to send your child please consider sending your child to a private school, or living in a school district that sends their kids to a different school. There are many better options in the area."
