Reviews of AnewSkin Aesthetic Clinic and Medical Spa
"A friend referred me to AnewSkin and I don’t regret my visit. I received a pre care instruction email after my appointment and a post care note afterwards. I was also scheduled for a two weeks zoom follow up call with the Doctor, after my treatment. I am happy about my results."
"Blessing is a Blessing! She has an amazing positive energy and it’s so contagious. She’s very knowledgeable about her job and she always delivers her best. I’m not surprised that majority of her patients are singing her praises. Shes always present, works hard and deserves all the accolades that she receives."
"I purchased the acne package, which was a chemical peel and three sessions of microneedling. I was also given topical treatments to help my skin in between. They let me pay in two installments. The treatments did help my skin overall. However, 1) my acne was not reduced, only the hyperpigmentation, and 2) I had a number of less than stellar experiences. My consultation was with a doctor that I never ever saw again, not even just walking around the office. I had photos taken of my face before every session, but they were never shared with me so I could see progress. The chemical peel was some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. The microneedling sessions were much easier, but I had a lot of issues with the numbing cream used. The cream likes to slide around your face, so I often ended up with it in my eyes, mouth, and ears, which is NOT pleasant. I haven't experienced this at other facilities, so I'm not sure what's wrong with the cream they use. They seem to change receptionists often, which wouldn't be a problem except for the time they lost my appointment. They did still do my treatment, but they were asking me about who took my appointment when I made it over a month ago? I met the woman once and never saw her again, why would I remember? Finally the whole "Blessing is a blessing" thing is overblown. Blessing does her job and is bare minimum level of friendly. I didn't find she had exceptional bedside manner; in fact the most I ever saw her smile or chat was when she asked me to leave a review. She wasn't rude or anything, just not this angel others talk about in their reviews. And speaking of the reviews....all customers who leave a (good?) review get a free facial, so I would take the positive ones with a grain of salt. So in short, sure, I got what I paid for, but it didn't solve all the issues I had come in for and I never saw the doctor again. After my last session there was zero follow-up to see how I liked things and if I needed anything else. If this place is convenient to you and you understand what you're getting, go for it - otherwise I recommend going the extra mile to find a nicer place."
"I had a virtual consultation where I waited 30 minutes for them to start the meeting. No one ever came so I gave up. I sent them an email explaining that I waited a half an hour. They said they wanted to make it up to me and try again, so I rescheduled. I waited another 40 minutes for them to start the call. The woman asked me to explain my problem areas that I’d like to discuss. She then told me “wow ya that’s a lot. Too much for Botox to fix.” Then basically explained that I need a face lift procedure but didn’t tell me the actual mechanics of what the process is even like, just told me it tightens your skin. Mind you, I’m 26 years old. I’m not showing deep signs of aging. I just wanted some preventative things and knew Botox would be part of that. She also made me feel like a burden by saying most of my problem areas won’t be easy to solve despite them being pretty common areas like under eye bags and forehead lines."
"I have been receiving laser hair removal at Anew since last year, and I could not be happier with my results. The staff is always friendly and attentive, as well as very helpful throughout my journey. I recommend all my DC friends to check this place out because I love it so much!!"
