"Just…WOW! Truly spectacular and unique experience with Ms Caitlin learning some blacksmithing techniques. I cannot say enough great things. She was so patient, thorough, enthusiastic and really did a great job balancing the fun and the seriousness of the activity. Caitlin taught me a lot about the ergonomics of how to move my body and get more power while using less force. Every time she observed me and gave me a new tip to incorporate to improve my technique I was able to understand and adapt very easily due to get great explanations! I even experienced a tiny burn which is inevitable even with the safest practices and because she started with such a thorough and well thought out safety talk I knew exactly what to do and all was well! Give this experience a try—you will NOT be disappointed."
"Caitlin, I just had to send you a note, letting you know the very high praise you got from both my 13 year old and my husband. They just finished a second class with you for intro to blacksmithing. My husband is a patient man and he described you as the most patient person and wonderful teacher. Never rushed, and gives the best explanation of how to do it. He said he has already learned so much in two classes. My kiddo is one who thrives with the right teacher, but his standards are very high and often will not stick it out with just anyone. He was so excited to return for the second class and when he returned home with his handle he immediately wanted me to book the third class. This is a kid whose can sense an amazing teacher and you check all the boxes, patient, warm, welcoming, low pressure, flexible, and expert instruction!"
"We signed up to take an intro class at Ms Caitlin's School of Blacksmithing for our 10-year anniversary back in September and the whole experience totally exceeded my expectations. It was incredible how much content was fit into just a couple of hours and I thought it was a perfect balance of taking time to make sure folks were comfortable with each step of the process, while also covering a lot of different techniques and skills to allow us to make something pretty cool and impressive in just one class. Caitlin was a phenomenal teacher - great energy and enthusiasm while also demonstrating strong expertise and the right level of "don't mess around" vibe considering all the ways one could hurt themselves while blacksmithing. She clearly loves sharing this craft and it shows in such a genuine way in how she conducts the class. Frederick is lucky to have Ms. Caitlin's and you won't regret signing up for a class. It's definitely worth the price for such a great experience."
"It's easy to see why Ms Caitlin has 5 stars! She's an excellent teacher - so patient, good at explaining concepts, and so encouraging! I'm really happy that I managed to make a hook - I didn't think I'd be able to achieve that :) Everything was already set up - she'd taken care of getting all the pieces ready to make things as easy for us newbies as possible. Definitely recommended!"
