Reviews of Capital Women's Care
"I had a horrible experience at this practice from start to finish. I went for an appointment to confirm my pregnancy and was referred to radiology for the ultrasound because the ultrasound tech was out… Fast forward to the following week and I received no calls regarding my results, so I call concerned wanting an appointment. I schedule an appt with Dr. Lackner and he tells me “so you’re having twins” in his office… just like that. I said no one told me this and he said in my chart it was documented that someone called me but no one did. I asked to see the ultrasound results and he said “we don’t see those anyways” which really confused me because I don’t know who actually read my results….. moving forward I was supposed to be seen every 2 weeks because of being pregnant with twins, but that didn’t happen. I didn’t feel like a priority at all and did not get an ultrasound scan the whole time I was there. Seemed really incompetent to handle pregnancy for multiples…. I was not treated any differently from a singleton pregnancy even though I was more high risk. Calling was also a nightmare, communication was really bad and I cannot imagine having a medical emergency and trying to get a hold of someone here. Fast forward to about 16 weeks (still no ultrasound scan, I had not at that point even seen my babies)… I elected to do a blood test for spina bifida and my results showed my numbers were “elevated” and they referred me to a fetal medicine specialist. Elevated. That’s all that was explained to me. I scheduled an appointment with a fetal medicine specialist and they informed me that the number from this test would be elevated since I was pregnant with more than one child and this test wasn’t appropriate…. They were confused why capital women’s care would even have me do this type of test. I finally got an ultrasound at this appointment and saw my babies for the first time, and also saw that I was pregnant with 3 BABIES. I found this out at 17 weeks. Now I’m getting bills saying I owe a copay at Capital women’s care when I was told that I would not owe anything for a routine appt. Do better, Capital Women’s Care. You certainly can’t do worse."
"This Ob/Gyn practice is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in every way. I highly recommend them."
"I've been going to them for over 30 years it's always an issue getting hold of a doctor. It's always an issue to have anyone call you back and they don't seem to care if they lose a 30+ year patient I should've left along time ago I stayed for a matter of convenience."
"CWC has been a great office for my partner, Dr Chapman did our emergency c section and was absolutely incredible, so supportive and calm and in control, we are so grateful to her for everything she did that day. The other docs are good too, we met with all four during the prenatal process, would definitely recommend them!"
"I have been seeing the same doctor for years and they have been amazing! Now this new location with the same doctor is like it has never change. The staff is nice and kind and welcoming. The doctor i see always listen and ask how I’m doing and here my worries."
