Reviews of Kaiser Permanente Columbia Gateway Medical Center
"I've come to love KP these past few yrs that I've been insured w them! I can schedule my lab and radiology appts online. Walk in, get seen in 5 mins. Results sent to me within 24 hrs. Highly efficient medical system. Just saw my Dr, walked down hall for blood tests she just ordered, and an xray. Done! Also, my favorite, non busy KP location is Columbia Gateway."
"The doctor and CA were very friendly and knowledgeable. They really took the time to ask me what was wrong and showed genuine concern. The building also is very clean."
"This is such a calm and easy location to get in and out of your appointment on time! Dr. Ambati is one of the best doctors I have ever had with a very holistic approach to care. The nurses and check in staff were also very pleasant."
"I have had the best experience with lactation services at Kaiser Columbia. I've utilized this supportive service for both of my children, The education received from my first child, almost three years ago, helped me to be much more confident during this breastfeeding journey, which plays a major role in the process. The increased confidence, derived from an increase in knowledge, support, and encouragement lead to a much more successful breastfeeding journey. I could not be more pleased with the services. I worked with Dionna. She was the same lactation RN for both of my children. The genuine care, attentiveness, and educational support was monumental in this journey. I felt very comfortable with Dionna, as the environment was friendly and relaxing. Dionna is informative, encouraging, and very patient, as three years ago, I was a first time mom and had to learn all about newborn care, including breastfeeding, which is a journey all on its own. Not to mention it is a different journey each time. Though this was my second time around, the journey is night and day from my first experience. This go round, I not only had the knowledge from my first experience, but was also able to reach out to Dionna to ask questions this time to help prepare me and ensure I had everything I needed to approach this journey with sheer confidence. One thing I will say is, lactation services need to be offered at 24 weeks, the gestational age where your baby could be born and survive an early delivery. Every day counts to learning and preparing about breastfeeding. It's not an easy journey for everyone, not even most. There is so much to learn, from when your milk comes in, to how much milk your newborn actually needs those first few days, to understanding colostrum and it's value, to learning about cluster feeding and the reason for it, to how to properly nourish your body to aid in milk production, to learning all about breast pumps and which is best for you, to understanding medical concerns such as mastitis and clogged milk ducts. I mean, there's so much to learn, that it is best to get a headstart, especially as a first time mother. It is also good to get a headstart on this while you have some peace and are able to get some sleep and are under less stress and can receive information more effectively. So that's my main suggestion."
"Elizabeth was very pleasant and helpful. The very best phlebotomist you have working in your company. Please give her an award for the stellar aerobics she always provides. I left Kaiser feeling elated and super happy because of the experience with this wonderful woman!"
