Reviews of Bay Women's Health
"I called to try and make a new patient appointment for obstetrics as I am a new mother and when calling the Glen Burnie office the call goes straight to voicemail. I was able to call the Baltimore office and as soon as someone answered the phone I was told if I could please hold, well I was on hold for 12 minutes. I called a second time and wasn’t even asked to hold, but was immediately placed on hold. The lack of customer service does not make me feel comfortable in becoming a patient of this practice."
"Update: I wanted to update my review because after talking to Kate the office manager I feel better, she listened to my issues and let me explain myself. I truly value the team and they are really worth another chance to the desk ladies. The the doctors, lab and ultrasound tech and the assistants are amazing and I absolutely love them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars for them. The desk team and same one who answers the phone it’s an absolute nightmare no matter why or what you are calling for."
"Was a patient here in 2021 when I conceived my daughter at my 6 week postpartum appointment to prevent pregnancy my doctor (popkin) advised me to get on some form of birth control and highly recommend nexplanon. I trusted him because of how well he took care of me during my pregnancy little did I know this was the worst mistake of my life . The implant was inserted way too deep into my arm which resulted in it migrating into MY MUSCLE . when noticing I couldn't feel it any longer I called the office and of course I wasn't able to get in for at least a month. When I was finally seen he could not locate my implant and i was referred to get an ultrasound at a separate location when getting the ultrasound the technician told me that it was not in my forearm where it was placed but in my muscle. I went to another provider as bay womens health could do NOTHING for me (Maryland surgery center ) where they also were not able to remove it and suggested I would have to be put under anesthesia and heavy sedatives to remove it . Yesterday I finally had my surgery and it is removed . I had to get 6 stitches Inside of my arm and 4 on the outside , leaving the ugliest scar and tremendous pain . So please if your looking to get this birth control BE CAREFUL . I WOULDNT WISH THIS ON ANYBODY. I was never contacted again to see what was going on with my situation very disappointing because I truly loved this practice."
"My wife and I went into the Bay Woman’s Health due to my wife complications. The receptionist working today were very unprofessional, dismissive and non empathetic. My wife sensed immediate attitude speaking with the receptionist as she was greeting them. We tried giving them benefit of the doubt since no one knows what anyone is going through but the disrespect continued even after leaving their establishment. In attempt to pick up medication the pharmacy stated they had not received the medication from Bay woman’s health so we called back to confirm. The receptionist answered an once my wife stated her name and why she was calling the receptionist sighed an said “I already sent it”. We informed her we had went to the pharmacy already as well as home an called after we waited sometime. She scoffs at my wife an says to call back again. We tried to call again to the pharmacy and the pharmacist had not received anything. I told my wife to call the center and ask if we can just pick it up physically an the receptionist gave some push back seemingly annoyed at this point said we can now pick up the prescription. It seemed they were more interested laughing an talking amongst each other about matching tattoos the office got together. I’ll never forget this experience an will also never go back again. Pregnancy is very serious as well as your mental health an at this health center customer experience, comfort an I can help you attitude is not priority at Bay Woman’s health in glen burnie. The nurse was fantastic as well as the doctor we seen. We felt perfect in they’re care but the receptionist are the front line an represent the face of the company."
