MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Wheaton

"The staff is wonderful, but they're understaffed. From a 240pm appointment time, I was brought back for intake fairly quickly and placed in a rather cold room. From there, it took over 90 minutes before the doctor came in. At one point, I went out to make sure they were ok - the doctor assured me I hadn't been forgotten but they were backed up. I came in already knowing I had COVID and seeking treatment, so I just wish I hadn't spent so long sitting in the cold. But the doctor herself was great, listening, understanding, and explained full the meds she was prescribing."

"Mediocre at best. Waiting for an hour w/an appointment for urgent care. Triage was less than basic and the physician spent all of 5 minutes learning of my issue. I’ve heard great things about MedStar, but this location is not it. Only good thing-the receptionist was very pleasant."

"I only go to this MedStar Urgent Care facility. It is very clean. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. I have found the wait time depends on the number of patients, but appreciate the time given to me once I’m call to see the doctor/nurse practitioner, who is also personable. I don’t feel rushed and my concerns taken seriously by the vital signs staff as well. They ask pertinent questions & xray staff very polite and respectful. I recommend this facility often and thank them very much."

"From the very beginning, my visit was excellent, courteous, and without any incidences. Each member of the staff represented care and comfortable competence. The bursting of the blister on my toe didn’t even require numbing. All in all, it was great to resolve an unexpected pre-holiday dilemma and get back to my preparing, with big toe intact. "Fantastic experience! Staff were warm and friendly at registration!! Renard welcomed guests as they arrived. I witnessed his patience and kindness assisting an elderly lady with registration. My virtual appointment was great. She was warm and asked great questions. I didn't feel rushed"
