Reviews of Community Wellness Center
"I'd give zero stars if I could, but since Google doesn't give you that option..one star will have to do. Don't expect to be helped by these people. They do intakes for housing and mental health, but don't tell you until the day of your appointment there is no housing currently available. Let me repeat this...THERE IS NO HOUSING AVAILABLE!!!!! But there is no way for you to know this when you book an appointment (which you cannot easily do unless you go online. Even then you won't necessarily get a confirmation of the appointment. Trying to call to confirm the appointment...hey, guess what? The people answering the phones don't have access to the scheduling system! So you have to wait for one woman to get back in touch with you! Which she may or may not do!!) Do yourself a favor...If you need help, don't come to these people. They lie about the services they offer, they WILL take your food stamps/SSI/SSDI, and you may not get the help you need and deserve."
"Absolutely one of the worst experiences ever. The staff at the Druid hill location Johnson , and Chadell are the most unprofessional employees I have ever encountered. They spread your personal business through out the house, They Instigate situations amongst the patients there . They take your food stamps card and never use it for what they claim , the houses need to be replace for repairs , The two of these lady’s at 1620 Druid hill location Johnson and Chadell need to be removed asap if they hope on living up to a place that’s there to help you . They let you get high , They let you don’t everything that cause you to get there as long as they like you if they don’t like you then you will be placed in blackout such unprofessional individuals. And they steal medication from the patients."
"I go there to see my therapist, half the times she is out, I know this isn't always her fault but I think there should be a limit on how many days you take off because phone convos just don't do it for me. If anything my mental health is just about the same, if not worse"
"As A Worker There, The Company is Highly Unprofessional. As Staff We Actually Care For The Residents That Need Help. However They Play The System & The Company Does Nothing About It But Penalize Staff. Our Safety are Set In Danger & Eastern Does Not Come Out & The Resident is Still in The Home.. From Overdosing, Selling To Eachother , Threatening Staff.. & Management Doesn’t & Will Not Do Anything. I Think if This Is Your Field and Passion. You Should Look Else Where. They Don’t Care For Staff or Clients, Which Makes it Hard To Do Your Job"
"Community Wellness Center is a great business They handle things such as mental health and substance abuse. They offer housing "independent living" for individuals going through recovery. This helps makes the individual become more stable and be re-entered into society better. They also have an amazing assisted living program as well. A comment I recently had seen here on the reviews talked about a few of the individuals who work here. I am here to say how she described the CEO (Vernon), (Co-owner)Demetrius, and Nina(Manager) was inaccurate. Let's start where she started, she painted Nina as someone who talks about patients and so fourth so have you. Nina loves the work she does, she is a loving caring and sweet person who looks to find the best methods and solutions to all of the clients issues. She is hard working and devoted to making things run smoothly and making clients feel as comfortable and cared about as much as possible with their time in the program. Nina is an amazing person inside, and outside of work. Next she spoke about Demetrius saying he is very unprofessional, obnoxious, and rude. This is far from the truth. Demetrius is someone who loves and care about the clients as well and he has a soft heart for them all. As we know with this populations sometimes a little tough love does need to be implemented and I think by Demetrius showing this to the clients they love him even more. I have seen multiple clients who was so thankful for Demetrius being there for them the way he shows it. He is a great listener, gives great advice, and amazing at deescalating issues between clients ensuring they feel heard and cared about as well. Lastly let us talk about Vernon. He is the CEO of the company and is amazing! I have never seen someone care so much, love so much, and give his time to perfecting the company for the clients, the workers, other outpatient mental health organizations. Vernon is truly an amazing person! Of course we know how a business is ran and that everything does not require him to step in to assist but he does any he gives every ounce of his being to make the programs amazing for the clients. Please hear me! Community Wellness Center is an amazing place and wants to see you recover and get back out in the community. I can not say it wont be any tough days, but they make it as smooth and simple of process as they can."
