"My wife was in active treatment for pneumonia when our car was hit by a truck. We arrived at the ER at 7:30 pm. She was interviewed by the triage nurse and returned to the waiting room. The hospital did not even had minimal ER precautions for people being treated for the infectious disease of pneumonia. My wife- in her vulnerable condition- was returned to the general waiting room to spend the next 4 hours with people sick with flu. After 4 hours of waiting in a cesspool of sneezing and other unknown pathologies, we left the ER and returned home. Our ER stay was on a Saturday night; we saw our family doctor on Monday morning. The hospital can easily remedy this situation by have a curtained off waiting area for people with contagious diseases."
