"I'm just starting my aqua therapy at Towson Sports Medicine at Bellona. The front desk people are very nice .The physical therapist are great they listen and explain and discuss a plan of treatment .They have a pretty decent size heated therapy pool . Also a nice looking workout area but, I'm only there for aqua therapy."
"I had bilateral TKR in September and I have had a wonderful experience at this Physical Therapy Office. All the PT’s who work here are very thoughtful and experienced. I was originally seen for my pre op work up by Caroline who was kind and informative. I worked directly with Miranda and Corrine. After Corrine went to another office Miranda took on my PT. She was very patient with me and answered all my crazy questions and was there for me emotionally and physically. I was discharged today and I feel like I have left family."
"If I could give this clinic zero stars I would. I had only two appointments, but it was definitely my last. The veterans administration is paying for the appointments, so I made sure to let them know my experience. Hopefully, they won’t send other veterans over there. The physical therapist (PT) assigned to me was Caroline. At my first appointment, she was very standoffish and didn’t seem to want to take the time to explain things or touch me. For example, she just handed me a sheet of paper with exercises on it and didn’t show me any of them, but just told me to take it home and do them at home. I thought my second appointment would be better, and gave her the benefit of the doubt, but it was worse. Caroline behaved like she didn’t really want to touch me and kind of moved away from me while massaging my knee, so I moved away from her to let her know I didn’t want to be any closer to her than she wanted to be to me. When she put me on the machines, she would show me how to do the exercise, and would not even stick around to watch me do my sets or be there to help me if I was having a problem or make sure that I was doing exercise correctly. She had no other patients. Overall, she did not seem concerned or even cared about how I was doing the exercises. I began doing them wrong on purpose just to see if she noticed - she didn’t. Almost every time after I was finished with an exercise I would stand there and wait for her to notice and come over, or had to motion to her that I was finished. Most PTs I’ve been to at least stay there 50% of the time to make sure you’re doing the exercises correctly and assess whether you’re having any problems. Caroline decided it was more important to chitchat with her coworkers instead of staying with her patient to ensure they were getting good care. She didn’t seem to care at all about my care or experience. I do recognize that some PTs are just more engaged than others, but I can say that I have never seen an office where the black patients in the room are not getting the same engagement as the white patients. Allow me to qualify this by saying that this is just my experience. However, I consider myself a very fair person, but I also am very self-aware and aware of my surroundings at all times. You can take this information for what it’s worth, but I can say that having worked as a nurse for over 20 years and haven’t been a patient a physical therapy for over 20 years, that I think I know, and can do a fair assessment of what providing the services should look like. This is not how the provision of healthcare should be for anyone. As a former nurse, I had always treated my patients the same because I believe that every person deserves good care. I did not favor some over the others. There are just some things that are painfully obvious, though. The difference between me and other people like me is that I’m not afraid to say how I feel because I know that’s the only way things can change. I left a message for the manager that I would not be returning and told the manager my concerns. The care that I received here was horrible! I hope I never have to go through that ever again, especially at a healthcare provider."
"I really feel like I’ve hit the jackpot with Jeff Jones! From Day one, he has been amazing. He is professional, calm and encouraging. He is very knowledgeable and is able to answer any questions that I may have. I never feel rushed at my appointments and I feel like he genuinely cares. I’m mind blown by the progress that I’m made since starting physical therapy with Jeff. At my first appointment I could have cried due to the pain but after a short time I am having some pain-free days. He’s a miracle worker! The facility is great and the receptionist staff are always so welcoming and helpful. I have already recommended Jeff and Towson Sports Medicine to friends. If I could give him a 10+ out of 10, I would!"
"Great staff and patient-focused environment, I worked with Anne Peck, who was very supportive and listened to my concerns. She designed a treatment plan that I can easily follow to help me achieve my goals. I highly recommend Towson Sports Medicine."
