Reviews of MedStar Health: Women's Health at Dundalk
"It is unfortunate that this has to be a bad review because Dr. Gattuso is great and I am contemplating leaving the practice... I did not write a review before because I called the office directly to speak with manager after thinking about how I wanted to handle this situation since it is a very sensitive topic for me. My fiancé and I at the time had been trying for a year and a half to conceive. When I scheduled the appointment, I told the person I needed to schedule my annual pap and also discuss issues I have been having with fertility. When I came to the appointment, the check-in process was good, and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and professional. The MA that brought me back was also very nice and professional. However, after this point is when my experience just started to plummet. When the MA checking my vitals was confirming why I was there, she said she had to go talk with another MA because I was just scheduled for pap and there was no indication of the fertility issues. I was just like okay, that is fine, no big deal, I will just make another visit after this. However, this MA she brought over was the most insensitive, disrespectful, uncompassionate person I ever met. She comes over and goes yeah, okay, so what are you here for, are you here for your annual or fertility issues because you can't do both (mind you she is speaking very loudly and with an attitude). So, then I explained to her when I made my appointment, I told them annual and to discuss the fertility issues, that I already said I could just make another appointment. So, then they leave while I am still sitting there where they checked my vitals and took me to the room. Once they left the room so I could get undressed, I just immediately started to bawl my eyes out. I was so upset and hurt, contemplating wither I wanted to just get dressed and leave before the doctor came in. I could not believe how insensitive the MA was and how she treated and talked to me. Then Dr. Gattuso came in, she made me feel comfortable and was really great- although I was still upset. She ended up discussing the infertility issues I had anyways and gave me a referral for Shady Grove. After this I was not able to follow up with Shady Grove for some time because I had a lot of personal/family stuff come up. I started discussing this again with my PCP and she recommended I reach out to GYN because I wanted to see if maybe my hormones would be affecting the issues I have been having trying to get pregnant. Of which, I was informed Dr. Gattuso was on maternity leave, and I would have to make an appointment since "she knows my history". I told them this was inconvenient for me and redundant because it is already in my notes, that if the provider was not willing to put the orders in, if the appointment could be virtual- which surprise... the answer was no. What is the point of offering video visits, if I am not able to do schedule it? What is the point of me coming into the office to request lab orders, knowing that you are more than likely going to force me back into the office to review the results. I am just super upset with this practice, it is extremely disheartening. Not to mention this is the second time Dr. Gattuso has gone on maternity leave since I have been a patient of hers so they should know by now how to efficiently take care of her patients while she is gone that way when she does come back, she has patients to return to. I guess this MedStar Practice is how they treat people."
"First time to this office to see Dr London for my annual gyn exam. Office was nice and clean front desk people were nice. Dr London was really nice and she was down to earth. I will recommend this office. She did my pap and checked my iud and everything went great. She has been in the practice for a long long time."
"A provider left the office allegedly, all annual visits have been cancelled and everyone was put on a ‘waitlist’. Coming from someone who has had irregular paps, and multiple biopsies in the past.. no women especially myself should be comfortable having their annual pushed back by months. Because these aren’t important anymore apparently!? At least that’s exactly how the front desk made it sound.. ‘we’ll get to you when we get to you’.. to be exact! On the hunt for a new office/provider immediately!"
"From beginning to end of my pregnancy I had an amazing experience here at the women’s health Dundalk. The staff has always been very nice. I don’t think Iv ever waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. They have been very persistent with making sure I have everything I need. They were always great with appointments and the flexibility. Never had any issues with trying to get the day and time I needed. Down to the day I gave birth and afterwards. Dr. Tran was was my doctor for most of my prenatal visits and I chose her to be the one to deliver my baby. She is AMAZING. She is very sweet, respectful and is a really great OBGYN… she will tell you exactly what you need to know, and is extremely helpful when you might have any questions. She goes above and beyond. So happy I chose this office to be my go to and to help deliver my son. Thank you so much for everything you guys have done for us! We appreciate all of you!"
"I see a lot of negative reviews, so going into my visit I was quite scared. If I must be truthful. All the desk ladies were super nice and Dr. Kristin Gattuso was very awesome & thorough. I don't even think I've ever had a doctor so caring. Bathroom was super clean. My room I was in was super clean. The nurses were sweet as well, and saw me confused a few times and asked things like "you need something hun?" Which I greatly appreciate. It's the small things, you know? ❤️ The desk ladies were helpful with my handful of questions. They didn't even seem annoyed with me (most people do. If your neurodivergent, you know what I mean.) I don't have a single thing to complain about my visit. If you have anxiety like I do, know that you'll be okay here. Don't hesitate to try and speak out if you are uncomfortable or nervous. They do care. ❤️"
