"I just want to give an update. After almost 10 years of my mother being there I got her out and as soon as she gets out and finds the right doctor it’s like a 180. They over Medicate you and treat patients and their families like trash. I’m still trying to get my mother’s money and other things from them. Do what you have to, to not let anyone you love or even hate to be placed here."
"My family has nothing but good things to say. My brother finally was able to get the support he needed. They were able to work with him on his medications to find a regiment that worked for him. They have been a godsend. It's been a long time since I saw the man he used to be. Thank you so much for giving me back my brother! He hasn't looked, felt or sounded this good in 20+ years."
"Rushes discharge. No one returns calls. Puts your loved one in places that are not best for their condition. My child was place in a home that had no supervision. Just someone to administer meds. No transportation to therapy or family connection. Horrible....and this is the "state hospital""
"DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES!!! Whoever does their human resources doesn't bother to vet or check on their employees. The support staff is more dangerous and mentally ill patients. There is a night manager that is abusive to the girls who work under her as well as the patients, after working under Catherine Harrison three months I needed therapy! She goes in and is paid to sleep! She doesn't do anything she is supposed to, she's mean and she abuses the patients who are unable to stand up to her. It's now coming out that she's even done the same to people in her personal life. This place is not to be trusted!"
"I was there in the eighties. The patients were nice, but they had bad problems. I don’t understand how humiliating patients help them. A psychiatric nurse made fun of my acne, but it wasn’t so bad so I ignored it. I wish that the hospital helped me with my sleep disorder and deprivation. I think that I needed to be there longer. It was a mistake that I was discharged after only four months even though I didn’t like it there. I planned to work with wood if the people there decided to change their mind. I remember having really bad painful cramps during my period. The worse thing that happened is that I was not given medicine for physical pain. After being I did not want anyone to really know why I was there. I guess that I was psychotic from sleep deprivation. The bad part is that hospital is not a place to help people with sleep issues. I don’t know about now, but in the eighties, they could not figure out how to help. I was young. I was sensitive. I do believe that I did get better in time by being patient with myself. Maybe it seems horrible because when we are a patient, we don’t feel well. Hopefully I will never return. My therapist told me that it is now a forensic hospital, but I don’t believe everything I hear."
