Patient First Primary and Urgent Care - Columbia

"We really love the support staff here. We've always had a good experience with the facility, front desk, nurses, and check out staff. However, our recent experience with Dr. Mond was unacceptable. Dr. Mond has a terrible bedside manner and rushed through examining my three year old. I brought him in for a suspected ear infection. Dr. Mond quickly looked in his ears and said there was no infection. He immediately turned to the computer and started typing. He didn't take the time to give him a thorough examination, and was extremely dismissive any time I had a comment or question. Not only that, but when the clock hit 8 PM, he opened the curtain to yell "TIME!" as a reminder to have the staff lock the front door. We were back five days later and saw PA-C Stroh who not only diagnosed that my son did in fact have an ear infection, but was thorough (listened to breathing and gave oral exam) and helpful despite the fact that the waiting room was 8x as busy."

"Patient First Urgent Care was a good experience for me. The wait wasn't too bad; I had about 3 people ahead of me when I arrived. After I checked in, it got a bit busier, but I didn't have to wait too long. I was taken care of by Dr. Christopher Ben, who was really kind and attentive. The place was clean, which was nice. Everyone I talked to there was friendly. The medical assistant, a nice black lady with a blue head cover, was especially reassuring. Overall, it was a great visit. One thing I liked was that they fill prescriptions in-house if they have them available, which is super convenient."

"My experience in this locations was extremely upsetting and very disappointing. I’ve been waiting around for more than 4 hours. I’ve had multiple patient leave out way after me even though I’ve been checked in before all of them. Not a soul has checked on me and they can’t give me an estimation. They said the max wait was 3 hours but I’m still here in pain and nothing has been done for me. Absolutely nothing! Never will recommend any body to this location or will I be back. Please redirect to a different patient first."

"This is by far one of the BEST urgent care centers I’ve ever been to. I took my son early on a Saturday morning, as he had a severe cough the night before and as soon as I signed in and sat in the waiting area- the staff realized it was bad and immediately took us to the back and within 2 minutes of answering some questions, he started receiving treatment. The nurse was incredible- very caring, understanding and ready to help with whatever we needed. She even read a story to my son to keep him calm during the treatment. The doctor was attentive and quick, I highly recommend this specific location- they really do offer urgent care. Hats off to all the staff! Thank you for the great service!!"
