"I can't say enough good things about Danielle and her crew at CF1. After finding mold in my finished basement and then it flooding a few days later, she was very quick to respond and very thorough. She explained the scope of the work and what she recommended while making every effort to keep my costs down while still mitigating the problem. Her crew did great work, kept things as clean as possible and were professional and respectful. The job as completed in a few days and I am extremely happy with how everything went. I highly recommend Clean Force 1 if you have a mold problem."
"They were terrific from start to finish. Danielle quickly identified the area where damage/mold had caused an issue. Her and her staff also mediated with my insurance carrier (Erie) to allow for additional monies to ensure the issue would not continue. On-site staff were quick and professional. I'd recommend Clean Force to anyone experiencing water and/or mold issues."
"Deceptive practices - mold remediation specialist isn't lead on remediation; she develops the remediation plan but does not lead the remediation itself. I hired them for mold remediation as they are the only company within 100 miles of my house that was certified in this. Danielle, the only certified tech, came out to develop a plan (which cost $100 and, in theory, gets deducted from your bill if you hire them). The plan was to toss up a plastic wall in my hallway, make the bedroom, bathroom, and part of the hallway under negative pressure, and then remediate the bathroom and bedroom. I paid/agreed to have 6 air samples taken, three at the start - 1 outside, 1 in the bedroom, and 1 in the bathroom and then the same three repeated at the end. It started fine and the techs were respectful. However, once the remediation was completed, I saw a lot of things that gave me pause. If you are unfamiliar with mold remediation, then you can easily be taken advantage of. I was not home when they took everything down so I didn't get to see the completed work. After looking at everything afterwards, I noticed they left fiberglass insulation on the walls where it was directly leaking. It appears the lead contractor skipped this step bc there was foam boards in front of it...but it should have been removed and remediated. Also, in the bathroom, a section remained where nails popped after water exposure on the drywall ceiling. I stuck my head in the opening and saw more water trails with what looked like mold. I reached out to the CF1 and they admitted the fiberglass should have been removed and the contractor was the lead, not Danielle. I found out that she never came back to the house to confirm things were completed correctly before the plastic and negative pressure was pulled; she simply popped in once during the process to see if things were going ok. This was never disclosed to me prior as they presented themselves as if the mold remediation specialist would lead. Danielle knew everything that should have been done but it just wasn't completed- which is what happens when a general contractor is lead and NOT the mold remediation specialist. To their credit they did come back and correct their mistakes, however, they still took shortcuts. They simply shut my bedroom door and opened a window while they removed the moldy fiberglass insulation and wipe down the surfaces in the bedroom. The bathroom was too tight to have the door closed thus was left open to the hallway and the rest of my house. Danielle stated she was comfortable with the risk level. I wasn't comfortable (which is why I hired them), but also, I didn't have much of a choice. it was stated that the foamboard contained the mold that was in the fiberglass insulation...but once the foamboard was removed, wouldn't the spores go airborne? I paid 3-4x the price of a regular contracting company to remediate my house but yet only general contractors led this project. 100% wasn't worth it - 0/2 rooms were remediated correctly. I attached photos of the "finished" rooms for reference. Also - there was a lot of pressure to pay the final bill without getting an itemized final receipt as well as a strong reluctance to send the lab results. I had to ask probably half a dozen times and refused to pay until I received them. Discovered why - they "forgot" to subtract Danielle's fee from the bill, charged me for 6 air samples when they only collected 5 (they decided without discussing with me to only collect two samples at the end - a joint bedroom and bathroom sample and one outside - which definitely wasn't agreed upon and I only discovered after looking at the lab report), and other random things...like removing the carpet strips. They are still there but I was still charged for their removal. Overall - Danielle is very knowledgeable and their independent air quality sampler was awesome. I would just pay her fee to get the remediation plan and then hire a contracting company vs using CF1. It'll be a lot cheaper and it's exactly what you get anyway."
"The Clean Force 1 team saved my home. I own a seasonal log cabin in the Jim Thorpe area. We had a flood that went undetected for two weeks until my sister stopped by one weekend. Within an hour of me making the call, Clean Force 1 was on the scene, taking charge. Even their owner, Danielle, left a family party on a Saturday afternoon to come out and supervise the project herself. Amazing. Their quick action--including moving everything out of the house, tearing up floor boards, demolishing the waterlogged kitchen and basement, then drying everything out with top-notch equipment--saved me from certain catastrophe. I'm beyond grateful to report that the damaged parts of my cabin are now rebuilt and better than ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Danielle and her amazing team. You went way above and beyond for me and my family."
"The team at Clean Force One is by far the best! Water ran from broken pipes for days at the house, I feared the worst but they came in with a plan of action and started immediately. She kept me advised of every detail and since my insurance didn’t cover water damage ideas on how I could keep cost down. Work was done quickly and efficiently. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude. If you have a similar problem absolutely go with Clean Force One, you won’t regret it!!!!"
