Reviews of D S Pipe & Supply Co
"Stay away, company undercuts heavily on price compared to other companies to get you in the door, but their quality is terrible. Ended up paying $30,000 more to get parts done at another metal fabrication company. Take your money and go somewhere that they care about your business and the quality."
"I specialize in reviewing, diagnosing and creating plans to improve the overall productivity & customer satisfaction of businesses that provide consumer/customer based products and/or services.. this review will provide anyone reading their reviews to decide whether they will/won’t do business with this company a fair & equal-ground inside AND outside perspective that’s not slanderous & based off an angry customer that didn’t get their way or a disgruntled former employee…. It will be consistent of honest feedback based on productivity, morals, views, protocol, honesty and more provided by this business… I’m going to begin this review with the solid and simple fact of the matter - the morals and principals of this business as well as their means of conducting day to day business is not only dehumanizing to their employees - but speaking as a whole - can be accurately described as being the physical embodiment of a literal and figurative joke…. Managers that are clearly suffering from superiority complexes tend to be very unappreciative of their hard workers. The ones with their boots on the ground, keeping what little percentage of a positive reputation are the ones that they seem to religiously and repetitively take advantage of yet those that provide the complete opposite are babied with leniency to the point they’re entitled and basically using those in a position of authority to manipulate those around them to do their work for them. They will expect outrageous performance requirements from their VERY FEW GOOD, HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES THEY HAVE…. Yet in the same breath, they will constantly enable their “favorites” to be LAZY - putting loads that they JUST DON’T FEEL LIKE DELIVERING onto the backs of other drivers (It’s also usually their hard working drivers I mentioned - because they know that they won’t complain about it) while also failing to even provide any incentives for them to want to do so in the first place. To make it even worse, it’s almost ALWAYS out of this drivers way as well as nowhere near their other deliveries (and I don’t mean a few blocks - I MEAN A FEW DOZEN MILES) while only being right down the street for the original drivers deliveries! The most baffling aspect is that if the driver will try to refuse this additional work load , there’s typically repercussions for it but there’s absolutely none for the driver it was originally assigned to?! Their managers seem to feel as though it’s okay or they’re allowed to just deny and violate their employees basic rights, make DOT-level demands of their drivers and given they don’t cooperate? They will threaten them with DOT-level repercussions (which they don’t have the authority to do EITHER of said things) & invade their privacy… if they don’t allow it, they risk being fired until they cooperate with their outrageous demands. Coincidentally it’s also managers that had only been there a short amount of time and end up leaving or being fired shortly afterwards….. but only after the damage has already been done - leaving a trail of destruction cascaded in all directions behind them (either being the sole source of multiple wrongful terminations of GOOD EMPLOYEES & chasing their best drivers away so severely theyve forced them to quit….) Then if by chance they are asked and agree to come back, they’re treated horribly! Which inevitably leads to them leaving again - VERY SHORTLY AFTER RETURNING! Not only that, but they’re EXTREMELY slow, unprofessional and ridiculously unorganized! My problem isn’t with this company or their owners - I’ll emphasize that the owners of this company are VERY good people with hearts of gold - so don’t get me wrong! However, that doesn’t mean anything if the employees they choose to be the “face” of their daily operations aren’t providing an equivalent or even a remotely close to positive impression. Truly, they need to reevaluate who they are putting in charge of running their day to day operations….. if they continue in these means, it inevitably GOING TO BE (NOT MAY OR MIGHT-IT WILL BE) their one and only downfall!"
"Idealease of Baltimore has been in a partnership with D S Pipe & Supply for many years. It's always a pleasure to work with each member of their team."
"Will call office has terrible customer service. Won’t greet you or speak to you until you stand at the desk for 5 mins staring at them. I get better service at the DMV. They also messed up more orders than not. Will add that last time I was there a woman was in the office (for the first time for me) and she had great customer service. Older gentleman I usually deal with needs a note pad and jot down notes from her."
"The service is poor salesman’s forgot to finish the order so that in turn turned into a hour of down time. it’s probably the most pathetic thing they didn’t say hey I’ll give you a discount or we’re sorry for your time which I can’t get back then low an behold same problem again today.I’am only going to KING ARCHITECTURE METALS!!! From now on a mean come on it’s not rocket science place order fill order."
