"I called to schedule a chimney sweep. The price was competitive, and the wait time was reasonable, so I booked with them. I was informed a day later that they could come much sooner than initially quoted, which I gladly accepted. I was called 20 minutes before the arrival of the technicians, as I had requested. The technicians were very polite, friendly, and professional. They worked with great patience and care. They never attempted to upsell. I was very impressed and can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone needing stove and chimney cleaning."
"We had a chimney emergency. Our furnace broke (yes in cold November).. Soot everywhere. The new furnace place does not handle chimneys. Ours needed cleaned and relined. Black Knight came the next day. The chimney was ready for the furnace people to hook everything right up. I thought it was a little pricey, but seeing the guys after the work was done, covered with all that soot... I think it was worth the $$. Nice job Guys!!"
"Very knowledgeable and professional. Worked quickly and brought any issues to our attention."
"I had scheduled a service for my pellet stove which the assistant had stated that they may not have parts but could diagnose the problem and also do a chimney sweep. The assistant stated that for both the diagnosis and sweep it would be $200.00. The assistant also stated that it would be $150.00 if I just did the diagnosis. I booked the appointment and the service tech arrived while I wasn’t home. My wife was there and they told her they could not do any diagnostics on it and that they don’t service most pellet stoves. They also charged $217.00 for just the chimney sweep. I called them and I’m assuming the service tech answered. He stated that it was $150.00 for the diagnosis and the sweep was a separate $217.00 when I advised that I was told different the individual stated well the employee has been here a year and we haven’t had any issues with pricing. After a pause on the line I realized that nothing was going and I said well I guess nothing can be done. I guess I need to get prices in writing. Lessons learned in home repairs."
"Had company come out to preform some repairs. We needed a new Damper, the chimney needed lined along with some mortar work. They informed us that they would need to come out and do their own inspection of our chimney first before doin the work. They started they would provide a quote and if we went through them to have the work completed the amount paid towards the inspection would go towards the services for repair. We were fine with doing this as we knew this work needed completed before they even came out. So they came out and did their inspection charged us over $135+ and stated we would have a cost estimate for the work in a day or two. Well that time came and went without any cost estimates being received. I called the company multiple times over the following weeks asking for our cost estimate. I was told it would be emailed to me yet never received it. I called back and verified that they had the correct email address even. Long story short it has now been almost two months since they came out and did this “inspection” but never provided us with any cost estimate to have the work repaired. We will not and would never recommend this company to do services if they can’t even return a simple cost estimate that was already paid for. I can’t imagine how long and how unresponsive they would be if we actually had they complete a repair. In all honesty my husband and I feel as if they are running a scam requiring people to have them do a inspection before they do the work. Then once people pay the inspection fee they never agree to pricing to do the work. We would have been better off throwing $135+ out the window. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!"
