"DO NOT bring quality lumber here. They paid us $87 for two 8.5' length 24"diameter white oak bucks, no cracks no holes. Tried to tell my husband it was red oak. We're never coming back here."

"How can anyone feel good KNOWINGLY taking advantage of small Timbermen is beyond me. When you quote a price to them over the phone and then they bring the load to you and then they think you are giving them that price and low and behold when they get the check it is a 3rd of what you quoted because you graded everything as low grade scale and it was not low grade and in the meantime you got another load so you basically took a whole load from them. Timbermen are hard workers and that is not an easy job to perform and then to cheat them out of their lumber is a disgrace. And then when they call to ask how you came up with the low grade you get defensive-REALLY... I think you should explain as that is a reasonable question and I think you need to make good on your quoted price. If that is all you can sell something for then you should never have quoted a price and then only paid 1/3 for it knowing that once you get the load you got them over the barrel as they won't know until they get the check. When they buy a piece of timber from a landowner they give the price at that time and then when they harvest the timber and price has went down they have to eat the loss. Rumor has it that we are not the only ones that got screwed over...."
