"Our children (5 and 2) have been attending CMMS in Rockville for over a year and we have loved our experience at this school. Wonderful teachers, great staff and admin team. They offer a wide range of activities year-round including music, yoga, foreign language lessons, field trips, presentations from outside groups, soccer, nature walks, etc. The teachers always go the extra mile to bring new lessons and interesting topics for circle time to keep the kids engaged and excited about coming back the next day. Whenever there was a small injury (minor scrapes and bruises) we were informed on the same day and received an incident reporting form to take home. The before/after care teachers and the substitutes know each child well and go above and beyond to maintain a smooth drop-off/pick-up routine with the parents. In my kids' classrooms there has been minimal turnover in teachers and teacher assistants (one teacher assistant was promoted and moved to a different classroom). The facility itself is spacious and clean. The front door is locked at all times and there is a fenced outdoor play area. The overall atmosphere of the school is very positive including the interactions among us parents who are courteous and friendly toward each other. The Director is always professional and timely in her responses. The email communications and newsletters help us to stay organized and informed. The teachers provide separate daily or weekly updates in addition to parent-teacher meetings throughout the year. Our children have loved every single teacher that they have spent time with from the toddler group all the way to primary. They have learned and grown so much. Our 5-year old is reading level 1 books, writing and doing simple addition -- she is so well-prepared for Kindergarten!"

"Our eldest daughter has attended Children's Manor Montessori School in Rockville since she was two-and-a-half. We knew that Montessori was the teaching approach that would be best for her, and we're so happy that we decided on CMMS. She has flourished there, and will continue attending until she goes to Kindergarten in the fall. The teachers are equally loving and focused on strong academics. The administration is approachable and receptive, and communications well and often. This particular campus feels like a great balance between a smaller preschool where everyone knows each other and a larger school where you have the benefit of more resources and staff coverage. The school is rarely closed beyond the typical holidays, and we really appreciate the diversity, the approach to Montessori, and the care that our daughter has received during her time with CMMS."
