"I love mama Shelem & her team! My daughter just turned 3 and has been attending almost a year. I love how much she has blossomed & I truly believe it’s because of all the learning & interaction she has been getting from this preschool! She knows her letters, numbers, even teaches me the sign languages that she has learned! They have worked with me through the potty training stage, stress-free! Now she is fully potty trained! Mama Shelem holds parent teacher conferences every 6 months (I believe) and is so so knowledgeable about early childhood education! They also let me do a quick piñata for my daughters birthday one morning and it’s so nice to witness all the kids interact well with each other; compassionate to one another. My daughter has become more confident playing with younger kids as well as older kids. They really do a great job and I can tell they do everything with the child’s best interest. We love them like family!"

"We are so thankful to have found Grandma's Day and Preschool. Our son has been attending the school full-time for 2 and a half years. We are constantly impressed by how much he is learning. It makes our job as parents so much easier. Mommy Shelem (as we call the owner) and the other teachers have taught him his letters, numbers, writing, coloring, arts & crafts, sign language, Spanish words, and more. In addition, she has taught him to use his manners. People always say how polite he is! She helped him to learn how to dress himself and go to the bathroom on his own and be independent in many ways. He gets along well with other kids and knows how to play nicely with kids that are younger than him. Mommy Shelem is well organized and keeps them on a routine. Her curriculum has a purpose based on early childhood education. She has good quality educational toys for them to learn as they play. I cannot imagine a better place for him to spend the years before kindergarten."

"Grandma’s Daycare and Preschool is hands down the best school/daycare in this area for little kids. Our toddler started at Grandma's when he is 2. We were very nervous because he had never been to any kind of daycare and was home with a nanny. One of the reasons we chose Grandma's, apart from the impressive facilities and excellent curriculum, was that during the school tour, the owner, Shelam Chinas, explained their policy and routine which is impressive. She said their teachers would do everything possible to soothe and comfort him so that he could form a bond with them and rely on them. When my son started he, of course, cried all day that first week. The crying gradually went down, he started enjoying school and by the end of the first month, there were no tears when leaving home or at drop-offs. My son has blossomed and come out of his shell after going there. He loves his school, his teachers and all his friends there. Grandma's has an excellent balanced leaning plan that we feel is a leg over any Montessori or traditional curriculum based schools in our area. They encourage learning through play and music and the teachers also guide the children so that they get the opportunity to learn everything that the school has to offer. They also do a lot of fun stuff like holiday parties, fun filled activities, learning, singing and joyful mood all day. The building and the facilities are impressive and well maintained. The teachers and staff keep the classrooms as clean as possible with messy toddlers around. We are very happy with the school and would definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a curriculum based daycare where children learn, develop their characters and still have a lot of fun! "This daycare/preschool is a hidden gem! Before finding Shelem, our daughter attended amother daycare and was just not enthused to go. Our daughter learned and grew so much with the care and love of Shelem, Victor, and Jessica! The foundation of learning with Shelem's program is incredible.
