"My children have been at this center for 7 years. After Creative Childrens Center took ownership, things went down hill fast. They immediately decreased their hours and increased their rates. I believe they have increased their rates about three times in the last three years. They have lost almost all their original AMAZING teachers and cant seem to keep staff. There is zero communication as many of my emails were NEVER returned. I barely knew who was watching my children since the staff changed so often towards the end. The director was not professional and even sent an email to the parents about a ex staff member in a negative manner. The owners seem to have no compassion for the children or families and seem to only care about the money. They have closed several times due to not having water in the building (the water was brown occasionally) and any opportunity for bad weather (thunderstorms and/or snow storms). They close for Winter break and the parents still had to pay full tuition. There was no communication about illnesses either. When a child was sick, the parents were required to take the child to the doctor and get a doctors note before retuning but there was never an email or a note about any illnesses that were spreading throughout the facility even after I spoke with the owner expressing how important it is to let the parents know. There was a Summer Camp weekly fee for activities. Some activities were cancelled and the parents never received the weekly fee money back. The warm and fuzzy feelings were gone when CCC took over. Needless to say, I pulled my children out and would not recommend CCC."
"Awful business practice, I interviewed for this business two weeks ago and they told me that I would be getting a call back one way or another whether I was hired or not and they never called me so I called and followed up in which they told me that their director was no longer employed there and that it would take a couple of days for them to get back to me, but I would get a phone call and I never did Their organizational skills as they preached during my interview was not what they were advertising within themselves as a business. To be honest, I don’t wanna work for an organization so disorganized, but as they say practice, what you preach, and if they instill these type of qualities in their current employees. I would not advise anyone to enroll their children here. And so the business cannot come back and say that this name did not interview at their school this is not the name I interviewed under."
"That this place is rated so low is ridiculous. I never bother with these kinds of reviews, but I feel it's required for how crazy and unsubstantiated of the reviews here are. I've been sending my daughter there for years, since before it was CCC. There have been amazing improvements since then, and she loves it there. She learned tons before even starting kindergarten thanks to their program. The teachers are great, and most that we have known since the start are still there, so I have no idea what the "poor treatment of staff" review and not keeping staff is in reference to. We have even hired several of them for babysitting over the years. Our child gets excited when we tell her who's coming to babysit. I searched through 2 years of e-mails: one instance of water being out leading to early closure, 2 instances of phones being down where they provided a directly cell phone number to call instead. So, again, no idea where the claim of unsatisfactory water comes from."
"Employee - Lead Two's/Three's teacher. CCC Jefferson has gone under a lot of change in the short amount of time I've been working here. Rooms, floors, toys, and the playgrounds have been updated and continue to change and improve. The center is going through an accreditation transition. This means, updated forms, more paperwork, more documentation, and more guidelines. Even though there is a lot going on, and changes are all around us, Brett and Jackie (the owners) step up to the plate to handle things. Running a business is not easy. I've ran my own small sewing business for a couple years and know just a little bit of what it's like. It's hard trying to stay up to date, following state and federal guidelines .. and that's on top of helping staff and families and the community. It goes without saying, but the owners work so hard and continue to do so. Here's the part that sets CCC apart from past work experiences: 1. When I have a concern about safety (bushes being trimmed back, the items on the walls being rehung, or my room being rearranged), it happens very quickly. 2. When I need guidance with my classroom and the behaviors that arise, not only do I get the materials I need, but I also get outside help and guidance on different tactics I can implement as the teacher. 3. When I need help in my room, or need a break, they step up. I don't know many bosses/owners that would come into a room full of two year olds, help wash faces, clean tables, and guide them to their cots, but I've witnessed Brett do this a couple different times . When things need to be changed in the classroom and Brett walks a construction consultant into the room, he doesn't hesitate to interact with students that come up to him. I've seen my students walk up to offer pretend ice cream and Brett will interact with them, And then continue with the business at hand. To say that Brett and Jackie support their staff is an understatement, they support families... They support the children. Yes, there is a big transition happening here. Yes, it can be hard to adjust to it all. Yes, things were broken, rooms were older and falling apart.. but things are changing for the better. Truthfully, Brett and Jackie are good business owners and work hard for the end goal of helping staff, families, and children succeed."
"Facilities are constantly being updated, fun activities for the kids, excellent use of an app to keep you updated on what the kids are doing all day, and really kind staff. Recommended, whether for all-day programs or before/after school (a bus comes for Valley, and they bus children to Brunswick)."
