"They use door dash for delivery. Yesterday my groceries were delivered to my driveway and left in dirt in my planting section. They were left underneath a sign that reads that ALL DELIVERIES go to the FRONT COVERED PORCH. These directions are also in my giant eagle notes. When I got home I had to pick my groceries up and drag them in the house from the driveway so I called the store and told them to reverse the $10 tip. The young kid on the phone said they have no control over my credit card or the delivery service . He gave me a number for DoorDash and told me to call them and if I didn’t get any satisfaction call G E back. I couldn’t get through the voice menu it wasn’t responding – so I called back and he said there was nothing he could do ???-( I followed his instructions to call back) -and I said well why don’t you credit the card I used with $10 and he said he couldn’t do that they only get paid for the groceries. So I called DoorDash again trying to get through and a woman finally answered the phone and said DoorDash doesn’t do anything with my credit cards -that’s all giant Eagle! And I said well aren’t you concerned that one of your drivers left my groceries in my driveway and if it was raining before I got home they would’ve been ruined and she said I’d have to call Giant Eagle, so I called giant Eagle again (3rd time)and asked to talk to a store manager. The kid on the phone said he was taking the garbage out?!!! So I said why don’t one of you young kids take out the trash so that the store manager can handle situations like this??- and he said he thought I wanted a curbside manager???- and I said no I want a manager for the whole store so he put me on hold, and I never heard back. $10 isn’t a big deal to giant eagle. They absolutely could have credited me $10 giant eagle has no problem, adjusting the payment for the groceries when items that I’ve asked for aren’t there, and they have to make substitutions . it’s the lack of customer service and follow up in the passing the buck that is so typical of the poor professionalism. It also bothers me that this kid gets on the phone and either he is lying or the lady at DoorDash is lying but nobody cares to find out?? What difference does it make to them? They have my money. If I’m not satisfied it’s not a big deal. They will just take your money and say there’s nothing they can do for you if the service that you were getting is poor. Who contracts DoorDash ??-is it Giant Eagle or do they randomly force their way into the contract to deliver groceries there? I’m already paying a 995 delivery fee and then a $10 tip on top of that- almost $20 to have groceries thrown in my driveway underneath a sign that clearly says not to deliver there! I guess nobody’s responsible everybody just does whatever they want but that is poor management. I will get my groceries down the road at Whole Foods if I can’t get to the store. Some of the prices may be a little higher, but they have better delivery."

"Most of the "Market District" branded Giant Eagles are nice and this one is no exception. The bathrooms were clean. They were fully stocked on a random Monday night. I used self checkout and it went smoothly as well. On a scale of Giant Eagle, I give this a full wingspan."
"Your front of house staff need a raise. Nice young lady that works self checkout specifically. If i had to deal with the pretentious, crazy, middle aged men she has to deal with I'd catch a felony."
"Between the the person in the bakery licking chocolate off of cookies as he packaged them for customers to purchase, on TWO separate occasions and the super nice guy in the man bun at the catering desk who was beyond not helpful today. I've finally decided this Market District isn't it. Went right down the street and the guy at the desk there was normal. Just needed 2 sandwich trays for next day.. he said it's tight but ill make it work for ya. Very nice of him. Man bun guy made it seem like I was asking for 374959595 pieces of chicken needed in an hour.. and just said 48 hrs policy 3 or 4 times. Customer Service is not that hard."
