"I go here to get my locs retwisted and maintained. Among the many stylists here, there is a lot of experience on managing locs. They stylists are all friendly and open to light conversation. My favorite stylist is Pieta. There is a surcharge on credit card payments now, a new policy I don't particularly like though it's understandable. You can find free parking on adjacent streets and may need to walk for about a minute as the store is right on a busy street. The prices are competitive and compare well with other professional stylists. In my experience it's best to visit when it's not too busy. I'd avoid holidays and weekends."

"I was only there for about 15 minutes or so today. I'm usually there for several hours. The owner removed thread, braids or a twist or something she had given me recently and it came out very pretty and wavy. I loved it! I just wish there was not so much scalp showing but that's just how my hair is, I guess. I forgot to ask her how I could keep it wavy until I return next month so I will just have to do the best I can to keep it looking cute the way she made it look. I had posed a question to the owner regarding how I could get my hair to lay down more neatly on the edges. She showed me a product that might help and later today I purchased the item she suggested. I'm sure that it will help. I've noticed over time that there are typically only two to four people in there who make the whole salon seem so loud and not a place where you can receive relaxing personal services. Most staff and clients are softly chatting, pleasantly conversing, or sitting quietly. Today, I don't remember whether the TV was on--I don't think it was-- or whether there was music playing but if so, it wasn't loud. It must have been a nice level of sound because I didn't recall feeling irritated."

"Been going there for years Nenah and James did a wonderful job with my locs. My hair has been growing with the touch of there hands. Very good place to go and the atmosphere is amazing good spirits. My Aunt was Nenah hair stylist and ever since I first met her she made me even more amazing bout myself. I would refer people to come and see for themselves.
