"Absolute the worst experience I ever had with an employer. In my 4 months of being stationed at IAD Cargo 6, I was met with rude and negative supervisors/management. Immediately assigned to provisions/unloading/loading/cleaning the 5-6 high lift trucks DAILY AND CONSECUTIVELY. This process consists of making 20-30 bags of supplies for GVA and ZRH flights. Each truck consists of 5-6 bins loaded with USED supply that we have to muscle out of the truck in most of the time unsanitary and even WET conditions, then loaded with new supply. Originally 2 people are assigned to these tasks. If the other calls out sick or doesnt show they leave that 1 person to do the work themselves. If you look like you can do some heavy lifting.. They WILL force you do it. They gaslight you if you refuse because "You are refusing to work." There are very manipulative practices here. If you value your time, safety and sanity. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND you work for ABM Industries located at Dulles International Airport. For all my under informed friends.. I encourage you to know your rights as workers. This employer has high expectations for the little appreciation they show. Minorities are being taken advantage of and it saddens me when they are not aware."

"Tishara was the worst manager ever and was not understanding at all. How do you expect me to predict the night before how I will feel in the morning? Of course I will call out if I’m not feeling well. I got written up because I was sick. Sorry I can’t control my body. We also require a 30 minute lunch break, but if I went away from the terminal, they would always get on my case and tell me to come back, while my break was not over. The people are okay, but the supervisors really think they can treat us like expendable assets. No way was I going to tolerate being here while earning a low $12.75/hr (2020), after experiencing such abuse. We’d even have to work inside airplanes that did not have air conditioning running in the blazing peak Virginia summer heat."

"Negative stars would be more accurate. I had an early flight and was unable to check my bag in because the United agent was “in a meeting” so bad on them as well. The ABM employees were completely unhelpful and rude. It wasn’t their job but they refused to make a call or ask where the agent was."
