"This experience occurred at the Chevy Chase location. I dont know how the other locations operate. Quick summary... they blasted a patient for asking for directions, only completed half of my scan and gave me ringworm. I decided to try Open MRI because I get claustrophobic and I don't want to have to take sedatives if I don't need to. Creating the appointment was easy and the receptionist was very nice. I provided my doctors orders and it was scheduled quickly. Things got questionable at the actual appointment. I heard the secretary blasting a patient for calling to ask for directions because they were lost after she hung up and didn't help the person. The waiting room is very small so it was easy to hear. Every MRI I've had, I have my vitals taken and a catheter placed as well.as change into a gown. NONE of this happened and the technician was very snippy because I was asking questions. MRI went smooth until the contrast needed to be injected into the catheter that I DID NOT HAVE. I asked to be pulled out while she used a butterfly to administer the contrast. She was ANNOYED that I didn't want to be trapped in the MRI while she fished for a vein. She missed it on my left arm and so when she went to my right arm she ripped the fingertip off her glove to palpate for a vein. She wiped with an alcohol swab, then palpated and repeated this 5-6 times and then placed the butterfly for administration. Guess what... a small bump appeared at that spot within 24 hours and I NOW HAVE RINGWORM!!! It's not over yet. I go to my doctor appointment for them to review the images and notes from Open MRI only to find that they only completed half of the scan and I now need to get another MRI to complete the scan. They need to change so many things and I will let everyone know about my experience here."

The technician who administered the shot for my dye was, without a doubt, the best I have ever had - hit my small veins on the first try and didn't even leave a bruise. Highly recommend the staff and the open concept MRI - was easy - just watched TV while it was going on."
