"I cannot say enough good things about their exotics department. My rabbit went here his whole life. They helped him through EC and GI Stasis and they managed to extend his life at the end through dental surgery. They have always been so transparent and helpful when it comes to pricing. Their doctors and everyone there are so kind and supportive. You can see they truly care about every single animal they help. When it came time to finally say goodbye to my boy, they were nothing but amazing. One of his veterinarians even called on her off day to talk me through the decision. The procedure was so peaceful, I greatly appreciated the privacy with him at the end. I was amazed when I not only got a sympathy card in the mail after, but it was personally signed by each and every one of the vets that treated him (and they each wrote a personal message). It truly warmed my heart to know they care so much about their patients. If I ever have another exotic pet, I will 100% use them."

"While appreciating the veterinarian services the pricing was off the charts. I took my mother n laws dog for a dental and guessed 1000 and it came back 1875.00 within a week the dog remained lethargic another trip back and another 1000.00 a pretty hefty price tag for an elderly fixed income… I called upon returning from work to understand this extra 1000 and was told Perhaps open a Care credit card…. I spoke with a doctor but will move her dog on to a more affordable veterinarian…. This explains why are shelters are full and so many animals go without the care they need!!! Saddened by this! My friend just went through a 3500 bill at Pender for her cat as well…. Rethinking the animals care at this point."

"Dr Jones is amazing! I was so impressed by the qualifications she has. Not just a vet , she’s a cardiologist specialist for animals. My sweet 13 year old dog Sophie was treated by Dr.Jones because she had a heart murmur she was born with. Other veterinarians didn’t take the time or were too busy moving to the next patient because they were so overcrowded, and I felt shoved out the door before I could even ask my questions, so I never found out exactly what she was treated for, and if they even looked at The problem she was therefore so I was referred to Pender Vet and I didn’t even request a cardiologist veterinarian but they could see her records on file online and we met Dr Jones and I am finally felt like we found the right person and the right place to bring our pets There was no pushing us out the door at Pender Vet they were patient took their time and the patient came first and the customer was their first priority and only priority while you were being treated by them. Awesome place to bring your animals. I was very impressed."

"I have a 3lb rabbit that occasionally gets eye infections. Pender Veterinary Center in Fairfax has an excellent Exotics department that takes care of all his needs. They even gave me a demonstration of how to catch and wrap him up safe to administer the medication which was a huge help at home. But our first experience with Pender Fairfax was in the Cat/Dog department, over 5 years ago with help caring for my 13 y/o lab. I was only in the area for the last year of her life, but they helped make it as pain free as possible. As long as I live here with animals, Pender will be my vet!"

You can’t find care like they provide anywhere else! They are like family to us!"
