"They fixed my Husqvarna lawn tractors power problem. Although the cost seemed excessive. When their person loaded my mower onto my trailer he said it needed a new muffler, it.was extremely loud. I ordered and replaced the muffler. I t was still very loud. I discovered the left side exhaust tube was missing. I. Ordered a new exhaust tube, bolts and gasket and installed them. Result: a quiet running mower. The extra cost for parts could have been avoided if Stouffer Bros would have replaced all parts that they took off."
"We were preparing for the next round of snow when I could not get our Toro snowblower started. I had put incorrect fuel in the tank. Sam came from Stouffer's to pick up,remove fuel clean the carburetor out and return our snowblower in just a few days. Excellent service!"
"I have been going here for several years as my Can-Am dealer. Everyone has always been friendly, service fully explained and documented. Also bought a Toro lawnmower from them. A full service dealer and repair center. Worth the drive from West Virginia!"
"They don't deserve any Stars from me! This is the most worthless business in Chambersburg. DO NOT buy anything from them and definitely do not take any equipment there for service. They proclaim that they have professional service, yet this could not be further from the truth. They have only been dealing in CANAMs for 4 months. Owner told me ATV's were all the same. They over charged on billing...9 hours to do a maintenance and replace just 1 universal arm. And when I called to speak to the owner to discuss it, he was arrogant and proclaimed his mechanic did nothing wrong. Even after the discussion, he said he would give me 3 hours of time back, but only if I came in and told his mechanic that he didn't work fast enough. So several things... 1. They told me I had to replace the entire arm and they couldn't just replace the U-joint. After the bill was $1200+, did I contact a dealer in South-Central PA did I come to know that this is a common practice at only $30 per joint (2 per universal Arm), so the cost would have been $60 instead of $360+. Again, why am I paying $74/hour for professional service. Stouffer Bros. claims they have a qualified mechanic. Not seeing it. 2. They told me they had to determine what the squeak was. They took the brakes apart looking for the squeak. They said they were looking for the squeak. My claim was why would they have done this? If I took the ATV there for a maintenance, which they claim is a "top to bottom" maintenance, I would have thought they would have seen the U-joint was loose and that they would have pin pointed that was the squeak, since that joint has a grease fitting. No common sense used here. Again, not a good mechanic. 3. After speaking to the other Dealer for Can Ams in South Central PA, they told me the maintenance is about 3 hours and that the Universal work should not have been more than 1.5 hours. Total hours of 4.5. So then why did Stouffer Bros charge me for 9 hours? Crooks, that's why! So, I cancelled the $1200+ check and Stouffer Bros sued me for is. The owner spent $135 court cost to take me to court. Then after an appeal by me, he spent another $135 to sue me in the circuit court + attorney fees that are estimated to be ~$750. So, instead of me getting an attorney, I settled with Stouffer Bros for $1200. They accepted. So, Stouffer Bros spent $1020 and bad publicity to get $1200. This is the pride of Chambersburg's finest businessman! This owner isn't too smart! And I'll be sure to tell any CanAm owners to take their Machines to Hanover Motosports. Do not give this business any work and do not buy from this place. It will be the worst decision you ever make."
"Worst customer service experience ever. I brought in an old weedwacker and trimmer for repair. They changed the gas in the trimmer and then did repairs to the wacker that exceed its value without warning and despite my call for update. It took nearly 3 weeks and when I complained about the experience to the manager he berated me to remember my exact words when dropping it off. No one ever introduced themselves or gave me any paperwork when I handed it off, not to mention clarifying what to do if the equipment wasn't worth fixing. I promised to share my experience with as many people as I could. The manager challenged me that no one would listen to a woman who cursed at his parts manager. Challenge accepted."
