Reviews of Sunrise Nails
"In the winter months, make sure you ask for a dbl layer for your overlay and tips. Mine fell off only 24-36 hrs, one by one. Had to pay for the repairs. Total $15"
"Absolutely the unsafest nail salon you can step foot in. Within two days, after getting a gel nail polish set, my nails started chipping at the tips and a nail infection started around my cuticle :-(. This place does not clean their supplies unless you ask them to, and reuses buffers plus nail files. Their hair removal wax contains chemicals that are harsh for the skin, and they double dip in the wax using the same wand. I was appalled by what I witnessed and decided not to get a pedicure after my gel set. Be careful out there ladies and gents; this is one of those nail salons that reside in a black and brown communities but have no integrity or care for the health and safety of its residents. I will be reporting them to the Cosmetology Board of Maryland for unethical practices."
"Since the manager felt the need to push me out the store when other customers and I were talking to each other I'm going to share my experiences today. I usually have Kathy but she is on vacation understandably she is maybe the best nail tech that Sunrise Nails has to offer. I am a regular customer and there was no need for the owner to talk to me the way she did after I paid $130 for the services for me and my mother and tipped although I did not want to. The nail tech I had blamed me for a nail she had to do over. I had a French tip manicure with dip powder and the whites of the French tip was bleeding into the pink. She told me it was my fault because I held the nails up to look at them and she did not want to do it over until I told her it was unacceptable. Many other lines on the french tips were crooked and I started bleeding after she cut my cuticles. After showing the owner she tried to convince me that she did a good job. Two young ladies who overheard the conversation told me they have had the same problems with the nail tech that I had and I was showing them where my finger was bleeding. The owner walks over and starts talking in a loud aggressive voice to try to stop us from talking to each other and to get me to leave because she doesn't like the conversation going on. Keep in mind I already paid my money and tipped so why is she talking like that to a customer? She was nice when it was time for me to pay and then after I paid she became a different person. I notified her I was already on my way out and that I didn't understand why she was talking to a paying customer like that and if I wanted to speak to the young ladies I would. Me and the young ladies continued our conversation and wishes other a happy holidays. If you want a happy holidays skip Sunrise Nails."
"NEVER AGAIN!!! This is by far the worst nail salon I’ve ever used! Asked for a clear pink nail paint with a V of glitter on the tip as shown in the first image. The technician placed three coats of glitter claiming the glitter wouldn’t be seen. I didn’t complain because some techs in other locations smooth gel paint if it gets too lumpy while designing but this tech didn’t and thought I would leave with lumpy horrible looking nails. When I asked for them to remove the glitter and just leave my nails pink, the tech and owner (I assume) got an attitude. The tech even threw my hand away after repainting one hand. The repaint was terrible too!!!! Didn’t use the paint all the way down the nail. Don’t believe me, believe the pictures!!!! I refused to ask for a 3rd attempt because it was late (after 9pm) and on top of all that, they had the nerve to charge $70 for a fill (with no designs) and a French pedicure. I usually pay $60 elsewhere and my nails be full of designs. Smh. Run away from this place!!!!"
