"It's like every other C&B near a mall in America. Like a cookie cutter. Cracks me up how people leaving reviews act like C&B is some sort of 5 star, high-quality store. It's not people. You ain't no princess shopping at C&B. Just because the sofa is $3-10k, doesn't mean they need to kiss your a**. C&B is mid-range quality and design. They don't need to bend over backward to help you. Maybe check your attitude first. We've been shopping there since it opened, and see all kinds of people coming in there acting like queen bee, as if people gotta be there at a snap. Get a life. You are not important. You're at the mall. In fact, we experience just the opposite, and have heard other people say it too - they bug you too much. Maybe we are just friendly and approachable (unlike a lot of the people we see in there with attitude), but we get asked constantly if we need help. PLEASE, management, designate your greeter near the doors, say hello ONCE, and simply say "ask an associate if you need anything." Then make the associates available walking around. I don't want an associate asking me in each department if I need help. It's really annoying. Especially at the top of the escalators. It's like a greeting gauntlet. Ugh. We literally turn whatever direction has less associates standing around to get away."
"Stay Away! I purchased a bed on September 1st. I had to call customer service multiple times to update my shipping address and still had to call on the morning of the delivery October 26th because it was being delivered to the old address. All I received was an incorrect headboard. Customer service told me it was a warehouse mispick and that the warehouse couldn't find my correct order. The bed is now backordered until mid December and I can't get it until then. This bed was in stock when I ordered it. Customer service scheduled a pickup for the wrong headboard and still had the old address! I had to call again to tell them they need to pick up the wrong headboard from my new address, and they ended up cancelling the pickup. So now I have a big headboard taking up space in my apartment that I never ordered. I've had to call customer service so many times it makes my head spin. They are nice, but ultimately the service being provided to me is terrible. I haven't been offered any compensation for having to wait 3+ months for this bed or the multiple times I've had to call to update my address. I would not advise anyone to order from Crate & Barrel due to the awful service. Edit: The bed was delayed AGAIN until an estimate of Mid January. Also, Crate and Barrel deleted my review on the product page of their website which is disgusting behavior. The phone number given in the Response from the owner is just the Crate and Barrel customer service number which I have called previously. Do not ever purchase furniture from Crate and Barrel."
"I had a wonderful experience with my wife today shopping at crate& barrel near the Cherry Hill Mall. We went here looking for some silverware, and they have an abundant selection. But I was looking for a small espresso cup for my 4 year old daughter, who broke hers, and Susan helped me find a stainless steel one, that would be unbreakable. Don't worry, she doesn't use it for espresso. But she does like to have some of my coffee some days, and I'll put an ounce in there for her. Janell was also very helpful, and had a good sense of humor while we were checking out. The store itself was very clean and very well organized. But it's the people that make the difference."
"If I could give negative stars I would, we just left (July 30th at 2:50 pm) and a dark haired middle aged woman checked us out and was disrespectful to an elderly woman looking to put some of her belongings down. She was also rude to us. There were also about 8 employees there and no one asked to help us. Two female employees talking in front of the “create your own” space actually scoffed at us for looking for curtains in the wrong department. HORRIBLE experience."
"I recently started shopping here and I feel like I have so much from here already, the store is a DREAM for someone who wants to have an aesthetic home. All of the employees are very nice and helpful. When I went to pick up an order tonight, I was browsing and every worker asked if I needed anything. Karin definitely stood out, she was the one who helped me with the pick up. Her customer service is top notch and she looked into any item I wanted but didn’t see. She went out of her way to make sure I got all of the boxes and wrapping I needed for all of the items I now have from there. She was extremely kind and thoughtful. Can’t wait to buy more!"
