"I signed up to get my open water certification despite being really uncomfortable with the idea of scuba diving because my friend has always wanted to do it and I agreed to do it with her. The entire staff at The Scuba Shack has been nothing short of wonderful. I have ADHD and Carson never once got frustrated with me asking him to reiterate the order of the skills we were going to perform after he was finished explaining them and was happy to always answer all of my million questions. Bob pays great attention to detail which helped my friend and I become better divers. His frank, but kind personality kept us laughing. Both instructors were able to stress the importance of how to safely execute the skills we were learning without causing anxiety or making us nervous. They were very attentive during exercises, had one student go at a time making sure they were able to assist each student if necessary. The class was taught in a stress-free way that allowed us to genuinely learn. I went into this extremely nervous about scuba diving and came out excited about all of the new opportunities to adventure that will open up for me once I am finished getting certified."
