Reviews of Happy Nails And Day Spa New Carrollton
"This place used to be so good. Used to by my mom and sisters spot. Has really changed after the last year. Twice I’ve got to my usually nail tech and my nail gel polish has completely chipped within a few days. The first time, it was mostly off my toes after two days. She said it could’ve been the oil. She was going out of town and couldn’t fix it. This second time, it chipped after 5 days. I asked her if I could come get it fixed and she said to come by the next day. I was unavailable the next day and asked if she had other availabilities. She stopped responding. During the initial pedicure, which once was fun and we I’d talk to the nail tech, this time I felt rushed. Thee were several times that she would say something and I’d look up and catch another tech staring at me. To the point that once I was already looking at the tech when and we locked eyes because I knew I was being talked about. That’s fine. Saw whatever you’d like as long as the quality of nails is great. No so much anymore. The location isn’t close but at one time it was the best. But to commute out of my way for a $65 gel pedicure to be chipped after 5 days, doesn’t seem like a place I should continue being a patron. Wish them and my once fave tech well."
"This is the worst place ever and I will NEVER recommend it for anyone. Terrible staff, very rude and unhelpful. I paid 100$ and they couldn't get the nail right. I returned next day to get it fixed and still, they couldn't. Horrible horrible horrible. See pictures of a nail just a day. Tacky tacky tacky"
"The shop is super big and very nice inside. My nail technician is Bo, he always does an amazing job on my nails and toes. If you’re looking for Great Quality work go to Bo!"
"I came here yesterday for acrylic overlay fill and a pedicure. My pedicure was good. Hannah did a great job and was very kind. My nails on the other hand was not great. I had Henry. Disclosure: I did not give him a tip because he did such a bad job. I asked him multiple times that I wanted my nails thin. The job was not neatly done. I asked him to fix a couple of nails, in which I knew he was irritated about. He was not rude to me, but I knew he complained because it was the only time he spoke (in his language) to his colleague next to him. When I asked to please fix it, he would start talking. But I'm paying for the service, so I kindly asked if he could please fix it. He haphazardly tried, but it was still bad. My overlay fill is bumpy...because the original layer I had is thinner than the overlay that he did, so there's bumps in the layers. My nails look higher than my skin. The photos I shared will show better than I can explain with words. Happy Nails is falsely named because I am NOT Happy with my nails. I'm sure there are better techs in the establishment. But I WILL NOT GO BACK. I had been trying new salons each month, so I can find a good nail tech who I would like to establish a relationship with. I used to only get my nails done on special occasions so I don't have a regular nail tech, but I have been going for a few months now in different salons and I fully REGRET going to this one. I do however, recommend Hannah for a pedicure. She was great. I had no problems with her. Henry on the other hand...sorry brother, your work is bad. I wish I could get my money back."
"I only came to this place since I was visiting my family for my birthday on July 3 (I stay in Alabama). It hasn't been a full week and these babies are a MESS! The guy (I want to say he's the owner/manager, sits a the front desk on the left) he was really rough while doing my nails, forcing my hands to lay one way or another, he was rough and I was uncomfortable! He started digging in my cuticles and I got a cut on my thumb from that. The nails started to chip after 3 days and my nails had air bubbles in them, (I got gel) and as you can see.. one of my nails already broke off. When I asked if he can fix them, he immediately got an attitude and rushed me out once he "fixed" it. He barely even fixed it. The environment is nice, but the service is horrible. Get some dedicated and talented workers so this place can at least have 4-5 stars."
