Reviews of ANA Nails
"It was my first time there and this lady who did my nails is a magician! My nails were a hot mess. I had not gotten a pedicure in literally months. My nails were not in a great condition. After she finished, I was in disbelief. The callous removal could have been a lot better. She barely scrubbed. The couple months ago that I received a pedicure was out the county and they scrubbed my feet for dear life. Very different here. My feet and toes should be smooth and moisturized. 5/5 for my toe nail polish and shaping my nails and 1.5/5 for the scrub, which I paid extra for."
"Disappointed is an understatement. I spent my very hard earned money to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure, something I never do. It was my first time visiting Ana Nails. Upon entering the salon, I immediately could tell there was horrible ventilation as the odor of chemical was far too strong and the air was moist. When I walked up to the front desk, the owner, Ana, said “what do you need?” This is fine, but it confused me when she asked me a question, I answered, then she told me to sign in on a device that did not work and then passed me off to another nail technician who seemed confused that I stepped aside to use the working screen to sign in as I was asked to do. All of that was fine, but a bit confusing for a first time customer. Then another nail technician came to the front to tell me to pick a color from the nail book. Rather than show me which book, I was supposed to guess which nail book among other nail colors stacked on top of each other. I finally sat down and tried to pick colors as the nail tech began gluing fake nail tips (that was a bit challenging and uncomfortable). I overlooked my initial impressions at the beginning of the appointment until the nail tech didn’t seem to be bothered by the fact that she glued my fingers together and got glue on my skin. She pulled her gloves off of my skin and continued to add the false nails to the other hand. I didn’t want more glue on the other hand so I point out that she got glue on my skin, which burned, and that the glue was on her gloves. She finally changed her gloves. Once the nails were on and she seemed to almost finish shaping and filing them, I pointed out that several of the nails were put on crooked. She said she would fix them after adding the SNS powder. So I waited until then. When she put the red powder on my skin it stuck to the areas where she got glue on my skin. It was uncomfortable. I pointed it out and she said that it will come off when she puts oil on my skin. Finally, after the powder was applied, she put oil on my skin and began sanding/filing the stained and dried spots of glue directly on my skin by using the dremmel tool. I then washed it off my hands after having to scrub pretty hard and pointed out that the glue was still there and the red stains were on my skin. Unfortunately, she did not fix the nails by removing areas the polish and glue stuck to the remaining sides of my nails on my skin, so the nails are loose after less than 48 hours as the picture shows. My left ring finger nail came off instantly. My nails are still crooked despite telling her to please fix them. I paid too much to have this manicure done for a large celebration and can’t even show them off since they lasted less than 2 days! Despite the extremely uncomfortable experience, I still gave my nail technician a very generous tip as she seemed to be having a hard day and kindness is the only thing I could give her before the holidays. I’m very disappointed in the outcome of the appointment. AFTER my appointment, I noticed some of the negative reviews about the salon and how the owner (Ana) responds to the low ratings. You can bet that I will be updating my review if the response is anything but sincere. A simple I’m sorry, will not fix this problem or prevent me from advising friends not to go to their salon."
"I have been doing my own nails for months but everyone wants some pampering every now and again but once again I leave here miserable , I told him I didn’t like them he filed them off and did the same thing again! Trying to convince me that if I don’t have an acrylic base my nails will be bumpy. It’s disgusting having to spend a $98 for a full mani and pedi and leave unhappy, pic of the nails I left with and 2nd pic is what I do myself , I asked him to match the pink. Updated I went back and the “fixed” them 3rd pic , definitely will not be going back everyone looked at me like I was crazy , they painted them 3 times."
"Wow wow wow… what an a terrible experience I had. I don’t usually do reviews but today I had to because it was eating me up…. I have been going to this nail shop for almost 6 years now, and few days ago I went in to get a fill in. I ended up with a nail tech who almost brought me to tears. First he was upset about every request I made. From shape to polish. On the left hand he put glitter on half of each nails, not horizontally like a French rip…vertically, and on the right hand he put glitter on the whole nail. I was confused, I had even brought a picture for reference. I wanted all of the nail to have glitter. I asked if he could make the left hand like the right, he became super passive aggressive and said he doesn’t know how to… I’m like “but you did the right hand perfectly, I just want the left hand to have glitter all over instead of only half the nail”. Then he said “No I’m not going to do it.” Guys, I don’t know what went wrong or if he was just having a bad day. But he did me SO wrong. He went on saying “I know you, yeah I know you, you always come in with a picture and expect it to look just like the picture.” Which I do not expect that, I just expected my left hand to have glitter on the whole nail like how the right hand did. He continued on saying “You’re mean, yeah and you’re picky, yeah that’s why no one wants to be your nail tech. Everyone is afraid of you!” All while everyone in the nail shop is staring at him and I. All while doing my nails, sweating because he was so upset, he was burning up, I could feel how hot he became because he was holding my finger. I was so uncomfortable, never I have EVER been treated this way in my life specially in an establishment where I am loyal to, and kind to everyone working there. In the end I left with plain blue nails no glitter, because rather than try to make it match he stripped all the gel off and repainted it plain, no glitter at all. He even insisted that I not return stating “if you don’t like your nail, don’t complain about it, just pay the money and don’t return” WHAT!!!??? Look, I like to give second chances but he continued to say no that I should just find another nail tech to go to… wow I just might do that!"
