"The entire experience was awesome and exceptional. The front desk team, techs, nurses and critical care staff were awesome. Dr. Ortolani saved my English Springer Spaniel who had pancreatitis. The facility is so clean and new. Multiple rooms, amazing doggy ICU and incredible, competent, extraordinary professions. I was able to visit my pet any time. There was Vets present 24-7. "Highly recommend. They were very kind and knowledgable. We went several times over the last few weeks when our cat was taken ill suddenly over the holiday. No long waits. Always very quiet and clean facility. They guided us through a battery of diagnostic tests and crisis medical interventions and helped immensely with the difficult decision of continuing with tests or saying goodbye with love. Sadly we had to euthanize my 12 year old cat when he took a turn for the worst and I rushed him back in one night. The vet and staff were so caring and compassionate during the process. "This is a much-needed service in the Wheaton community! We were getting ready to go out of town and was noticing some odd behaviors with our sweet tripod cat. We went to Apex, and were immediately seen within about a half hour. I have gone to another animal hospital in the past for my mom‘s cat, and we had to wait about two hours. Not only were we seen quickly at Apex by a tech, but we didn’t have to wait long for the vet to come out either. She explained everything that she was doing an examining and offering to do any in-house tests we needed. We left with the medication we needed in hand, and when I had a question later that night, the staff answered my questions with no issues over the phone. I felt like they genuinely cared about our sweet boy, and all of the staff there is obviously very educated in the field. Of course I hope we don’t need to go back to an emergency vet, but I know that if I do, I will definitely choose them."
